I can AdBlock anything I find borderline for my work environment here and there, and personally I really don't want to have to blanket block avatars/sigs if I don't have to.

Some of us like sigs/avatars existing. There are plenty that are fine, humorous, etc. Past that, if you're just quickly browsing through a thread, I'm sure some people besides me quickly identify certain posters based on their avatar or signature. Skip some posts before even reading who posted it, or stop on a post you may have skipped in a thread you were quickly browsing due to a poster. Sure, you can stop and read every name, but it's still significantly slower, and I don't see any gain whatsoever in changing the policy. If people want nudity (on BG or the internet in general), it is in no means remotely difficult to find.

The way I see it, no one is going to not browse BG because they're not allowed to put nudies in their avatars or sigs.

On the other hand, a LOT of people won't be browsing BG at work or at school if it is allowed.

By allowing people to do it, there will certainly be less people on the forum at any given time and I can't imagine you'd want that at all.

You have corporate entities who browse this site in an attempt to guage consumer wants/needs. I don't know if you're going to make the jump to converting this to a FFXIV board, but when you have a large influx of people, especially important people such as possibly SE reps, I'd assume you'd want to maintain some sort of respectability. Undoubtedly if you'd like to land interviews.
