Tits!
GTFO!
IT WAS RHETORICAL.
lolwiki.
too broad, I mean do the companies that advertise it, do it at loli? or do people in japan consider it loli? Is it just the hard otaku sites that list it? obviously you do, and I'm sure other posters on the forum do. My anime nerd friends back home considered it a distinction. We would never call something like Card Captor Sakura loli. So I am curious as to how far this line has been removed.
The term "loli" does come from "Lolita", yes?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lolita
When a show is just about little girls doing little girl stuff, I'm pretty sure the general population just calls it children's programming.
I don't know what the companies that advertise the stuff do it as since I've never really seen this kind of thing pushed in the west.
The Japanese, however, certainly do consider it loli.
Many many people consider Card Captor Sakura to be loli, your anime nerd friends back home are the odd-men out, not the norm.
I find it hilarious that the people who tend to complain about the loli content are generally bitching about images that come from what claims the general population just calls children's programming.
When the people bitch about the stuff they don't say "get that children's program shit out of here" they say "get that loli shit out of here" even if it's just a picture of cute girls standing there doing nothing at all.
Images like this very one here would be called "loli shit"
Spoiler: show
Now, tell me do you see anything sexual there? Also note that Lucky Star isn't targeted toward children, so you can't really call it children's programming either.
this was animated by these guys, who also made this, this, and this.
An animation studio with a history of not only adult-oriented shows but shows heavy with fanservice is going to make "children's programming"? That's like having Alan Moore draw a Baby Looney Toons comic.
even urban dictionary/regular dictionaries lists loli as girls in some sort of sexual manner. I was ask some jp friends to see what they say, because honestly until it became apparent on these boards I had never heard of it being described as anything else.
I highly doubt that. There is card captor sakura loli pictures out there (isnt' there of everything), but the anime itself is extremely innocent and shouldn't be labeled as loli. If it is they are doing it wrong or basing it off the fact there are loli pics outside the anime.I don't know what the companies that advertise the stuff do it as since I've never really seen this kind of thing pushed in the west.

"I did not have sexual relations with that girl"
If the idea of this thread is how will people at work or in public places react to seeing cackn'balls sigatars, how will the same people / workplaces react to sigatars containing sexually suggestive loli?
I'm pretty sure the conversation evolved beyond what is or isn't acceptable or tasteful ( sideboob, ass ), but what an outsider looking in will judge / fire you for.
When I worked in an office and was on break or something and browsing BG I would get more funny looks from the pedo shit than the suggestive adult shit.
