Two, three years ago it was the cool thing to blame spam for every bad thing that happened on the forum, and people sound like fucking tryhards when they do it now. Since people are obviously unacquainted, spam has better regulated, better enforced rules and codes of conduct than anywhere else on the forum. There's no moderation in spam. Because they don't fucking need it. Spam is 100% real talk, and the absolute first place I go if I want to know what is actually happening on the board.

I have already had to turn off sigs and avatars because what people are already using is way too much for any normal work place.

It makes me realize that 90% of the people that post are young and immature.

It's just one more step in spam taking over the rest of the forum. This isn't something that should even be up for a vote. Either make the entire board a spam forum or keep it in it's place and let those that want to browse the forums for its supposed intent do so.

The hell do you consider "young"? Looking in the picture section in general, the average age bracket seems to be upper 20's and lower 30's, at least among long-time BG members, so I'm not sure where your assumptions on age are coming in.

i also use bg as a resource to bounce ideas off of when i'm having a technical problem at work as the tech forum can be a great resource to poll many deft minds. if i have to fear getting called into HR for browsing that forum in an attempt to best do my job, the forum's usefulness to me drops off dramatically. i think keeping nsfw content easy to filter when browsing the site is a critical aspect to my being able to use bg and feel rather strongly that it makes sense to isolate it from the day to day use of the site not out of some prudish mentality, but merely from a usability point of view.
