Who said anything about other parts of the board coming out to fuck with everyone else? That screams paranoia. People from all over are seeing which way this can go and are voting accordingly.

That being said, BG is above and beyond FFXI by now. It has sections for 4 different games now, including FFXI. It has sections that are just as well traversed as the FFXI section. To say this is solely for FFXI is running around with blinders on. BG has transcended FFXI and become a solid community in its own right. The existence and continual usage of sections besides FFXI has proven that. So the other parts of the forum are supposed to not have a say?

EDIT: Also, I'm reduced to posting from my phone at work, if I can get on at all because of hawkish IT. I'm fucked if such a rule goes into effect.

BG has it's own communities, multiple ones. I don't have a problem with keeping them separate, and I think it's best for those that browse from work. It may not be spam at all, but whoever is pushing for this doesn't have the best interest of the board in mind.

Personally, I have found that IAS is one of the least offensive sections of this board. But the point is still that some people aren't happy with their divided off section and want to screw it up for everyone else just because they are 14 year-olds without jobs that want to be able to look cool on the internet. If I blamed spam wrongly as opposed to general, then please accept my deepest apologies, but I still don't care about the difference between spam, general or any other forum I don't browse.

That and that, honestly. To Aerides' point, I think driving out people based on an unnecessary policy-change is just as bad as crying censorship and leaves it up to a matter of practicing exclusion for the sake of gross ariel rebel tits. Had to!

Anyhow, you nailed it here, TBR. I found out about this forum because of FFXI, but the reason this forum became part of my daily routine has nothing to do with the actual XI forums and at most I'll check out screens, .dats and fanart threads in those relevant sections. As noted countless times already, one person's experience and situation doesn't really mean much in the scope of the entire forum, but I simply think the community is what keeps people here and I agree with what you're saying. I see no reason to shrink instead of broaden.

Probably would've been better if people read the quote and realized I never mentioned nsfw but that stupid sonomaa rule about not showing more than half of a chick cleavage in an avatar/sig. Yes the poll is very accurate as the vote for tits actually mean tits.
