NSFW Sigs and Avatars

I don't really get a chance to browse BG at work very often, but on the chances that I do get to, I'd prefer to not have to turn off avatars/sigs at work then turn them back on when I get home. There is plenty of NSFW shit all over the place and it's incredibly easy to avoid when I'm at work (or anywhere else I might need to avoid NSFW threads) but I'd stop browsing at work completely if it were to change.

Also, this poll should really go, at least, to the FFXI section, and probably globally. Spam and general discussion are about the most biased places you could poll this question.

Agree with this as well...a lot of the people I talk to regularly that use the site for FFXI information actually didn't even know this poll was here until I mentioned it to them.

And I'd also like to echo what Isladar/Therin are saying...keeping it as it is won't push people away from the site, changing it very well could.

Also, "NSFW" doesn't apply to just work. I'm sure several people would rather not see said images while they are with their family/etc as well, so I'm not sure why people are harping on some "you should be doing work at work" thing. There is a time and a place for seeing NSFW content, work is not the only place that it isn't appropriate (and when/where it is appropriate will also vary case-by-case).

Oddly enough, Gulkeeva's sigs and avatars, while almost always suggestive, have been some of the more tame when it comes to mature themed ones. I'd rather not see porn unless I'm looking for porn. It's somewhat embarassing to have people see the shit some of you use as avatars sometimes if I'm flipping through the forums in public.

It's just completely and utterly unnecessary.

I turn off sigs/avatars/images at work, but having nsfw images is just going to piss off some people when someone puts a 16-inch dick as their signature. Maybe if nsfw images are allowed in sigs only, and then only within spoiler tags might it be okay.
