    From The Escapist:
Hot on the heels of War for Cybertron, Activision is in negotiations with High Moon Studios to work on more Transformers games.

Up until now, the Transformers games have been a lot like the Michael Bay films: They're either forgettable bubble gum experiences or pretty terrible. High Moon Studios came out of nowhere with Transformers: War for Cybertron, which — as John Funk noted in his review — is a ton of crazy fun. In some welcome news for Autobot and Decepticon fans, the developer has revealed that it's talking to Activision about working on more Transformers titles.

Speaking at BotCon, developers Aaron Archer and Matt Tieger (who work at High Moon) revealed that the future of the series isn't set in stone, but they're working with Activision to develop more games starring everyone's favorite giant robots. "We are talking with Activision about the future," Archer stated. "Please buy the game to support it."

Archer proceeded to make a statement that will undoubtedly set the internet on fire, saying he'd like to make a Twisted Metal-like game starring the Transformers. "My job is to listen to fans, Hasbro, gamers about what people want," he said. "I filter by what's achieveable and what makes sense for story. I can't say yes or no but as we move forward, we will put what's right for the game in the game."

A combat racing game set in the Transformers universe sounds like a killer idea, but I'd be happy to just see another Transformers game helmed by High Moon. If you're a fan of the cartoons and/or movies but haven't played War for Cybertron, go out and pick it up.

Activision catching on to a successful game franchise means the next few games will never be as good as this one, because they will run it into the ground and want it out by next week.

Anyone manage to get to round 15 of escalation yet? Best I've managed to do so far is I think 9 or 10 -- whenever there are guys with hammers and removable turrets.

Does anyone playing the PC version have sound problems in the campaign? I was playing as Megatron in the first Decepticon mission and sometimes the voices would work correctly, but other times they'd be very muted or non-existent. I could use sub-titles, but it's not the same. :/

I'm looking for a solution now, but thought I'd ask here.

Anyone have this on PS3 and want to do some multiplayer? Been doing a bunch of it since I got the game, but a lot of people that play in the modes I want to play in (i.e. not Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch) are retarded as fuuuuck.

Anyone else play this on PC? My friend and I got to I believe wave 12 on escalation before we got destroyed by 1 shield +3 turrets coming in at once with other misc shit lol. We usually go as a ratchet + warpath(sp?) combo on autobots side. We camp out in the first room that leads up to the overshield and has the health + energon pistol? (or w/e the scope one is for 200) in the room.

Typically we'll just kill and resupply ammo as needed up till first wave with flying dudes, then we leave one flyer and go across to unlock scrapmaker, then do another wave then go to the right and unlock overshield. Then we just accumulate enough to unlock the 2500 door (400+2500) then get the 1200 turret gun if we can. Turret gun idk if you can buy ammo for but if you swap weapons while it has bullets it'll drop on the floor and you keep your main 2 weapons (and we never get rid of neutron assualt, mainly due to high bullet count).

Mainly we camp in the same starting area everytime and we NEVER open the room to the overshield, we just go the round about way to get it. Sometimes we do run out of ammo, in which case we'll just pop the shields and lure guys in to melee them (did this with turret dudes as well).

I don't believe we got a turret gun the first time we reached wave 12, which may have owned us, but does anyone else do anything different? Anyone get pass the bullshit level with shields and turrets and overshield cars? -_-.

Also if anyone else wants to play sometime on pc leave a msg! D:

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned here yet (though I really shouldn't be since like no one plays this game) but the contents of the first DLC were accidentally leaked on XBL's website the other day. They've taken it down since, but the info that it had on it can still be found.

The title of the DLC is Map and Character Pack #1 totaling in at 377 MB. The details of the listing read as such:

Become the ultimate weapon and wage war in four new maps – engage in multiplayer combat in HAVOC and FORTRESS or fend off waves of Autobots in DISTRICT, and Decepticons in FORSAKEN, two new Escalation mode maps. Also gain access to 5 characters and their chassis for use in Escalation mode and Multiplayer character creation; SCATTERSHOT, ONSLAUGHT, DEMOLISHOR, SHOCKWAVE and JAZZ are ready for battle. Fight to the end in the war that started it all!
So basically, 2 new MP maps, 2 new escalation maps, the three pre-order bonus bots and these two guys:

This would bring the chassis count to 12 for the Autobots, 10 for the Decepticons. Though there's always a chance they could slip Dead End in there as well, he already has a full model in game, which is hackable to use in the PC version.

Also, I play on PS3...when this game's online decides to work, mainly in conquest. So if you're desperate for a teammate who's not a total mouthbreathing asstard (I'm only slightly one of them) feel free to add me.
