I think I found a way to cheat a bit. If you can slowdown your computer a bit the game runs slower without really having the 'hiccup' lag where it stops and goes it just seems to run a bit slower by default. I can't really be sure but I got higher scores when I did it. Assuming the shortcut is the same I held in CTRL and then scroll wheel on mouse up until the screen filled my monitor.

yeah i ran utorrent winamp media player youtube and a bunch of other shit and loaded it and it was definitely slower, but more to the point of being annoying
it didnt help though, im used to the batshit fast stage of the game at this point where you just have to barely tap z and you fly for miles

worked for me, just as you're getting a good score hold down CTRL then spam F4, Enter, F4, Enter, F4, Enter
