    iono where it was said but someone somewhere made a very valid point.

    It sounds like they are getting ffxi ready for ffxiv, so that even if the population shoots way down, the people that stay can still get things done without needing huges groups anymore.


    Also the idea of doing mini expansions/events allows people that went to 14 to come back now and then to do the new stuff so they can get more money.

    The merger is scheduled for the March version update, where the number of worlds will go from 32 to 24.
