I'm really bored, so here's a mostly unbiased (I tried really hard anyways) over-view of what to expect from Cerberus. If someone could write a Hades one, it'd be much appreciated.

Armada - Primarily NA, some JP - Main focus of HNM (3 Kings, Khim, Cerb, Tiamat). Events (All). In alliance with WhirlingWind.

WhirlingWind - Primarily NA - Main focus of HNM (3 Kings, Tiamat). Events (All). In alliance with Armada.

KoNtinued - Primarily NA, some JP - Main focus of Ixion/Sandworm and HNM (3 Kings, Khim, Cerb, Tiamat). Events (All). Only NA linkshell to kill AV when it was zergable. Also killed it back when it would bug out in 2006ish.

ExplosiveReaver - JP - HNM during JP primetime (3 Kings only). Events (Unknown).

HighPower - JP - Primarily events (Unknown). First Cerberus linkshell to kill Odin. Has a shit ton of hidden relics with as many as seven on one member (they don't wear them in town, only see them on the off chance they claim an HNM once every two or three months). Camps Fafhogg maybe once every two months.

Teletubbies - Primarily EU, has NA, unsure of JP - Main focus of events (All) and merc work. Only NA/EU linkshell to kill Pandemonium Warden (With limited outside help).

CaptainCaveman - Primarily EU? has NA - Main focus of events (All afaik).

Immortality - NA afaik, possibly EU - Main focus of events (All).

ElectricMayhem - NA - Main focus of events (All).

Think those are the main shells worth mentioning. There's a few other event linkshells that are successful around that I really don't know the names of off the top of my head.

Tidbits:

• Bazaar is in Rolanberry Fields + Lower Jueno.
• Population varries between 800 and 2100 (2007 as I'm typing this).
• Aery rarely reaches over 100.
• We lose besieged regularly.
• Campaign seems to be stable for the most part, though we've only captured a beastmen stronghold twice, both times sandy.
• We don't use a dynamis calender. You may be able to get something started, but wouldn't get your hopes up too high. Dynamis congestion isn't too bad though.
• Dynamis currency is about 6-7k Bynes, 13-15k Shells, and 15-18k Bronze.
• Our economy sucks.
• Vigor is an idiot.

That's all I can really think of off the top of my head. Maybe someone will have something to add.

I think I'm the wrong guy to write about the Hades over-view considering I've been out of the loop for a while and been in-active.

I see new names every time I log on. There's several random shells doing most everything but few of them are key shells who focus on kings really.
The obvious one is Excellence, though I assume they don't focus on camps much these days.
I'll try to get someone write down something similar to what you did there.

Good summary by Eanae about Cerberus LSes. The only confirmations/corrections I'd make is that CaptainCaveman is primarily NA and ElectricMayhem is late night NA. My LS, Immortality, is indeed NA... but we have a scattering of night owls from across the pond and do events in NA primetime except for Sundays.

And in the tidbits sections, I'd like to add another bullet:

• Inglorion is an idiot.

Also, I think Castle O [S] was captured once well over a year ago, but whether it was or not doesn't change the point that the server is pretty bad at that.

good sum. we (TT) do all our stuff during EU prime and i can't recall seeing any other ls overlapping with us. sometimes you find som early jps in sky or sea or small random groups, but that's it. as mentioned, we don't do kings nor khim/cerb so i can't speak for that. the only exception is, that we're doing event breaks of 3-4 weeks on each ffxi update. during that time, we camp DI/SW/KV depending on if people are up for it.

no clue of how much of this will still be relevant once the lvl cap raise begins.

just read the question about EU population: while there still is a good amount of EU people around, the only prime EU shell who does everything (see above) seems to be us. there have been 2-3 attempts to create another but i think they all failed. there surely are small/social EU ls' there, but i can't think of any other EU shell who kills JoL or Odin etc. if CC is mainly NA. tho i don't know the whole server. been playing since EU release and probably seen only 3 guys from HP :3

Hades is pretty good about following a calendar since it gets a bit congested Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun in Eastern timezone nights. We are jacked maybe once every 3 months. If you browse to Hades server, you can see 6 or 7 LS's overlapping at least on Saturdays. I know that our shell still plans to use the calendar but if the intended zone is taken, we have a lot of versatility to do whatever is available.

Being someone who started on Levi and did end game on that server for 3 years, then moved to Remora and did end game on that server....... the new Levi is going to be a fucking shit show ill tell you that.

Remora is finally going to see what it is like to camp against a real JPN LS that actually claims. Remora has no JPN LS's and Leviathan JPN might be the top of any server.

Yeah Leviathan is very JP heavy, always has been. You'll see alot of JPonry and whatnot, but most are willing to give you a shot if you say a word or two in their language. When it comes to endgame, however, my past lses never really competed in their time, and if we did I never recognized them. Our big endgame linkshells, from what I can remember, include mainly dryroot (which is EU iirc) and Radiance. Subliminal does a good amount as well, but they really only do HQ kings if it's in their window.

DaFunk is a shell thats been around ~3-3.5 years, previously led by Eep/Disy, now led by Nappy. They have a decent amount of well geared members. They dont normally wipe to anything, but everyone has their moments. They don't normally steal or MPK, but they hate Legacy (Prestige now) with a passion, and have recently started to express this. Focus: (3 Kings, Tia, Khim, Cerb, SW, Di, all Events)

Legacy started as a mostly EU shell, but is now mostly EU/NA. They started out 4 years ago as a sky shell(?) and worked their way up slowly to HNM. Their current wipe rate is pretty low, it depends mainly on the time of day they claim. Kyas (previously Kyasjon, his name was stolen by a DF member when his acct was hacked) is the biggest moron ive ever had to play with. For about 4 months he used muse teriqua on PLD, for the "obvious" reason. DO steal from DaFunk. Focus: (3 Kings, Tia, Khim, Cerb, SW, Di, all Events)

VanaKnights (TheEndless now) started when an old Excellence member named Daaku ragequit and made his own shell a number of months after leaving then coming back to Hades. They have a core few members with good gear and skill, but due to low numbers they dont show up to all that much. They dont steal or MPK. Focus: (3 Kings)

HuntUpGround (Galka LS or hug for short) was formed by 5-6 Galka. For now they dont claim much at all, and normally only have 6-10 people max. I'm sure they will continue to try kings despite claiming nothing. They don't really MPK, but I wouldn't put it past them as they have tried in the past, but they're too stupid to be successful. Focus: (3 Kings, finding more Galkas)

Zulu is a new HNM shell started by Arklus, hes a nice guy from what I can tell, but hes only been here ~3 months. They haven't claimed any HQ kings, but they've only been at it a short time, so who knows. Focus: (?)

Yeah, the greatest claiming tool in the world isn't a Ka bot, or Wizbot, or God himself. It's a Meteorshower pearl.

Thankfully they show up like once every 3 months. Bad news, when they do show up, forget it, they will claim, it will be Nidhogg, it will drop 2 e.bodies for them. It's nuts.
