First off, seeing as Maury was in our linkshell for a while, stole is a hard word to use even if KA stole anything from the piece of junk that was NASA. KA trumps everything that NASA was. Just ask Volume about that. And of course botting is a numbers game. It always has been. As long as you cast you can claim. 30 people on a shit bot can very well outclaim the best bots now and then. A good bot is one that can get all members that cast and have their abilities and spells land at their exact assigned times, and KA does that.

I don't really know specifics of the workings, only kaces knows about that.

Excellence with Stan - If Stan returns to the game and decides he wants something, like Cerberus on its knees begging for mercy, he will attain such. Unlike a lot of current Exc members, I've seen first hand how Stan's thirst for dominance can really bring a server to its knees. Many of these new generation Exc scrubs don't have what it takes to dominate a server, and are focused on material gain. They play the game to play the game and get shiny things. Stan plays because he wants to be the best. This is an opportunity for him to come back to the game, in full force, take Exc to its former glory. He won't admit this to anyone, and will probably work in the shadows methodically and patiently. I don't think Cerberus has anything they can throw at Stan should he decide he wants it all. He will recruit the competitions best assets, he will win over loyalists, he will seem like he's loosing and then pull out his well hidden trump card. You're all in for one hell of a ride if you Stan decides what you have is what he wants.

Excellence has been "greed" based since the creation of its first points system.

The system made sense based on what motivates the kinds of players that are willing to chop down Nidhogg at 3am on a Tuesday when they have to get up for work or school 4 hours later.

To say that the current players are any greater, or any worse than the past players is incorrect. There has always been a bell curve in the LS, and the LS has traditionally seen about 30 to 40% turn over every 6 to 8 month period. Granted that is eyeballing it, but it is a pretty fair number.

Stan's genius was in replenishing the LS and utilizing members toward a goal, and creating a website that reinforced and enhanced his vision. Consistent recruiting of quality members, dealing with the bitching, and maintaining personal motivation are always the hardest parts of running an HNMLS.

In the end, this whole debate about Cerberus / Hades is rubbish. Just thought I'd poke my head in and let everyone know how fucking stupid they are for even debating it.
