For PUP, full Usu vs an ideal full haste mix/match (Walahra/Goli/Dastanas/Usu/Usu) is 25 accuracy, 7 STR, 6 STP, 26 evasion, 5 subtle blow, and 2 counter vs 4 haste. Obviously if you don't need the accuracy the haste build wins, but otherwise full Usu is pretty nice. I'd use it soloing regardless of accuracy as well if the evasion was useful. I believe SAM and NIN have better mix/match sets most of the time though.
EDIT: Herp derp, I put Setanta's Ledelsens in the mix/match over Usu. No idea why. Fixed my numbers.
It'll probably be open anyway, but I hope Klimaform will be restricted to SCH.
It's our AF "Weapon", and it's not like I'm allowed to equip other jobs AF gear.
Also, staring at the L49 SJ cap, then L50 Freeze, and going FFFFFFFFFF. I want to Parsimony/AF2 Feet Alacrity that shit. But oh well.
Hmm, COR notes on that ZAM thing could be nice. Hopefully they'll give us a larger range of guns.
Also is it bad when I seen the Pixie NM the first thing that came to my head was the Monarch from Venture Bros?
Anyway, back on track. I need to really get shit in gear so I can come back, just to quit after I hit 99 >.>
I'd be more happy to see RDM getting stronger refresh/haste and enfeebles. With the ability to hit the entire party with a single casting, it would free up the constant routine that is RDM and keep them as a powerful party support slot.
I want to see Pain (anyone remember pain from FFwhatever), like a combination of bio/blind/para/gravity all in one. I want to see heavy refreshga that allows people to not be limited by MP.
I want to see our jobs go to uber god mode.
The reason why: Because I want to see redicuously hard new HNMs that need us to be lvl 99 uber gods just to stand against. I want a fucking challenge, and Im estatic to see it maybe happening.
double post.
As much as I wholeheartedly agree, its never going to happen. Their already limited level of interest in keeping their player base happy is primarily directed at its largest faction: the mediocre. Needless to say, real challenges aren't in the best interests of the mediocre(read: CoP nerfs, etc.).
I don't get why some people don't want a universal lvl cap rise. What would be the point of being lv99 only in Abyssea?
You're getting new JAs, spells, and gear that you obtain in Abyssea only to equip them on your lv99 job that can only be used in Abyssea? Just seems kind of pointless.
Maybe I'm a bit biased on the subject since I lead a LS myself and see daily how member count varies and having to work around it, but I wholeheartedly welcome being able to do most/all current (and future, for that matter) events with less people.
Also this part of the Famitsu interview hints heavily towards the cap rise being universal:
-- Once the level cap is removed, will the current HNM (an abbreviation for "high-level notorious monster", monsters designed to be fought by many players at once) be adjusted?
Matsui: We're considering not making major changes. We don't think it's bad that the fierce enemies and endgame content up to now can be taken on with fewer players. Instead, we plan to add new enemies to fit the new level cap.
I'm sure it has been said in this thread, but if so I guess I'm reitterating.
SE hasn't provided a solid expansion since RoZ, so what exactly makes people think that they have all of the sudden gained some omniscient empathy towards their customers that would catalyze a sound, well thought out epiphany towards development that they were unable to access durings FFXI's prime?
If they've really been working on this for years and it's going to be a great thing for the game, why are they implementing it at what is obviously the last lap before they throw in the towel?
One could argue that they would create great content in order to woo players from other MMO's towards the Square-Enix brand, in order to increase the drive and population of FFXIV, but this could be a costly risk considering the impact it may have on their most dedicated clientele.
My personal, somewhat pessimistic opinion of the update is that it will likely contain multiple "mini-expansion" type releases, which could possibly contain areas in which the new level cap will go into effect. If this is the case, they could justify having not made the old content obsolete, by keeping it at a 75 cap, and charge money for the "new areas", which ends up equaling paying money to achieve the level cap. Obviously "hardcore" players will want to keep up with the trends, so they will pay and SE will profit. New players will be woo'd by large numbers and in the meantime SE is keeping everyone busy leveling jobs to 99, so they can take a few days to produce some lackluster content that the addicts will explore regardless how bad it is....
I could be totally wrong, but my magic 8 ball, influenced by SE's past, leads me to believe otherwise...
