To be honest I didn't actually see those listed.

Jorm could probably be 6-manned in 30-45 mins, so that's not too bad. The longest I would try soloing/lowmanning something would be an hour, any longer than that, and I'll seek more help personnally. But anything you can lowman, would make you more gil per person (if selling drops), a 3 hour 6man tiamat could make you 800k/hr per person if gaiters drop, for example.
The good news for everyone is that SE's top priority should be keeping their current clientele intact. Obviously this would include not making everything that hardcore players have worked for thus far become obsolete.
Though Square Enix doesn't have the best past resume as far as great content goes, they do have a consistent way of somehow keeping the most hardcore players addicted and often coming back to the game. Their development team might not be the best, or even good, but they are undoubtedly good at making an addiction.
The only problem is that these updates appear from most peoples perspectives to break their former paradigms of update history, which will include a 25% level increase in relatively a short amount of time.
I really think this could go one of two ways...
Either they are trying to "go out with a bang", including a paradigm shift regarding all prior update protocols and include a WoW type series of updates which completely changes the game and tries to keep people busy leveling and what not while they fix all the FF14 bugs. This would, imo, be a bad idea, because their clientele is typically a bit more intellectual than the average MMO and a lot would take offense to a WoW type implementation and hold a grudge towards SE, possibly not even carrying over to FF14.
The other possibility I see is a continuation of their normal techniques, including either a way to gauge gear up to match the higher levels, or sidegrades with level increase that make the previous gear available still useful and desirable. The main problem with this still, is what all of the sub-jobs are capable of providing at such a high level and even if the gear is no longer obsolete, it sure seems like all current content would be... or at least too easy to really be considered a challenge.
2 centz moar.
Well, /sch could undoubtedly land a dispel. I imagine the 5 mdb from solace wouldn't be worth all that much (though the /rdm MDB II, + 12 MDB, is pretty nice...). Either way, there's a pretty good chance a 99 PLD could hit the -50% MDT easily (Aegis), then gear towards a lot of MDB, utilizing /sch for sublimation and high dark arts skills. I'd have to really think about it more to determine if another sub might be better... Paralyna wouldn't hurt also.
(Cor/Rdm did land dispel about 50/50 from previous Sarameya experience. Since it has a pretty quick recast, it could be spammed until it lands, with a lot of macc gear and such, as Pld/rdm...)
Death of pld/nin is here. It's back to the ninja tank with utsusemi san.
For the most part it is true but with spell interrupt- builds becoming more and more popular I think NIN has potential to replace PLD as the "I fail at blinktanking but who cares when game mechanics are on my side" tank of choice.
A good player is capable of tanking as PLD, NIN, RDM or whatever really, but it'd be so nice if SE just says "fuck you" to those morons who think that an Aegis is enough to tank everything and make NIN overpowered once again.
I'm just gonna leave this here.
Hitler learns about the LV99 cap: http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3546477
you have to lose like ALL of your -pdt equipment to hit spell interrupt cap on NIN (and you need aquaveil, so /rdm). that means some potentially stupidly high lv HNM is going to smacking you round with your base defence and doing 50% of your HP prolly.
The best solution is to ride it out in -50% pdt, or just time your Ichi better.
-interrupt is not something that NIN wants to use on something that hits harder than a taru whm.
Well, wouldn't the gimp relic holders be the people I just describe, because all they'll do is lazy around in Whitegate going afk for most of the time and don't bother to show up to events most of the time either. Then again you'd have to question the type of ls since obviously a ls that lets a person like that get away with shit is probably a "close nit" ls and probably why they got the person the relic in the first place.
If this patch stops dicking NIN I might take it to 75 (4th time lucky!) and then 99.
Taru NIN foshota.
Outside of that I can see MNK taking off to the #1 DD spot again, only rivaled by SAM (unless they start adding new JA's).
MNK/WAR will gain Aggressor for constant Acc boost (Focus etc), plus the DMG increase that'll be met at 300 skill.
BLM could be fun. I've been wanting new spells / job changes for 4 years now...
WAR I can't see changing too much unless SE make some new JA's. Maybe near gear will allow 5-hit GA or something (lol).
SAM has potential to rape if they get another STP trait, making 5-hit without retarded gear viable. New GKT's bring the promise of being able to leave Hagun for a higher DOT weapon where Hagun lacks, without necessarily compromising the all important WS DMG.
Fuck PUP. D:
Mainly curious about new JA's and WS's, rather than the potential from SJ's (BLM/RDM Refresh/Convert etc).
There's the Trial of Magians or whatever it's called so you can upgrade the hell out of a Hagun, then it could still be the best option that way. It'll probably get replaced though with some insane new Great Katana that has Occasionally attacks twice or an insane Store Tp bonus.
