So track "0B"... am I the only one who hears bits and pieces of FF7 Music in this track? I mean I've played FF7 A LOT and listened to the OST A LOT. For a second there... I was honestly confused.

1D is a strong song... The soundstage for an awesome story is set, SE just has to make sure it's writers come through.

Lazy and Impatient people or "This is 20xx year" people really. If something small like that annoy people..no wonder people had so many gripes with FFXI.

God forbid that we improve dumb systems. How is a distance limitation to party invitations even remotely beneficial?

Honestly, I am pretty impressed so far. It looks like they have all the bases covered so far. Not saying its going to be perfect, but Lua, game design and combat seems pretty good.

I am not digging the 5 minutes weakness, especially if you have to home point every time you die. But this may just be comparing apples (FFXI) to oranges (FFXIV). Then again, I thought SE was trying to avoid losing big chunks of time to nothingness in FFXIV.

Other than full names and party range limitations, it seems that SE is finally "catching on". I remember reading that each area has teleportation crystals - so I'm assuming that if you die and have no raise available you can simply teleport back. Of course, if that is the case, larger zones with area restrictions will present problems.

There were a few songs that sorta threw me back to FF7 and 8, one in particular but I can't remember the name of it now... but I definitely agree with you. I like the music a lot, left it on all last night.

On one hand, not having to wait for people to be in region is nice, but on the other, I remember WoW and how RMT would spam invites not unlike they're doing now with tells in XI. At least tells aren't a pop-up window, though.

But in wow you can get a addon to block RMT shouts/tells/chat channel messages (or by word/level of person sending tells)
