edit: Awesome! I was thinking about a crafting system (while reading Tera's forum) the other day and came up with a system where you could see the character actually making the item and influence it with real-time feedback (I envisioned you being able to tell where to strike the sword you were making with the hammer) and it looks like this will be similar somewhat. Damn, so many things I want to try, and no access ;;

Unfortunately, the female Hyur, Highland Hyur, male Elezen, and Miqo’te will not be available for play in the alpha version. In addition, the Disciplines of the Hand and the Land will each have only one class available. We apologize in advance to testers who may have been looking forward to playing any of the above.

That leaves: male Hyur, female Elezen, Roegadyn, and male/female lalafell as choices.

Yeah, almost like a minigame in itself. It'll no longer be getting a friend who has a high skill to craft something, it'll be getting someone with high skill and knows how to craft real well. I guess kind of realistic. And one of the crafting classes it said has an ability where it can do synths really fast while lowering the chance of HQ, thatll be really useful for items that you need in bulk.

Easier to trouble shoot with limited races; im honestly surprized they arent just limiting it to one race.

Hmm...miner and excavator is kind of redundant.

Excavator dig things out of the ground. artifacts, ancient sculptors, armor, weapons..etc things of that nature, seems different enough.

off topic: approaching 1/4 million views on this thread lol. Bet that gets broken within a few hours once JP go live?

Sounds like they won't be able to make HQ levequest items for you if one of the mats comes from the NPC.
