Are you high? How does doubling the time allowed to render each frame not help lower end PCs? It also allows them to use more GPU intensive effects since they have longer time to render.

It makes an enormous difference in performance, and you can usually barely tell the visual difference between 60 and 30 unless you're looking at them side by side. If they told you it was going at 60 when the code was actually going at 30, you would never know (unless you used fraps or NPerfHUD or something to pull out the real numbers).

I think what he was refering to is capping it is stupid. Lower end PCs would run it at 30 fps and higher end PCs would run it at 60. Why does everyone have to run it at 30? If you can run it at 60 great if not do 30, whatever. Scale-ability is good for everyone.

Also Remember everyone THIS IS ALPHA dont have E-Rages over 30 or 60 fps. They could be throttling it now just because its alpha.

For some fucked-beyond-belief reason if filezilla pulls a jpg image from the web it converts it to bmp. have to web -> folder -> filezilla.

The difference is clear as day and night, honestly. Most of my games run at 200~300fps and I've used both 120hz lcd and 144hz crt monitors, while 30 fps looks like shit even on 60hz and shitty old tvs.

You're not one of those people who try to measure human eye abilities with FPS are you?
