A: Not during the Alpha/Beta tests. Though perhaps through prayer will the Twelve one day grant the Disciples of the Land and the Hand with new ways to fell Eorzea’s nasty beasties.

Is why you will more that likely not see many people be miners and blacksmiths at first in alpha(until people figure out how to switch jobs freely).. who the fuck wants to throw rocks...

Yes and no...

Yes they keep stats such as int, mp, and hp, being as your physical level stays the same. But you would not have any new ability with your new class. SO no I dont think you will be able to 1 shot everything, but leveling "sub jobs" should be alot less of a grind.

I know I saw a cap of the character overview that probably has it somewhere, but can't find it now... Does the menu display an actual "Physical Level" and "Weapon Skill Level"?

I'm assuming that you will be able to one shot a bunch of shit if you switch from, say, Marauder to Pugilist if you have a shit ton of STR, or Conjurer to Thaumaturge with INT, especially if you can tack on spells or abilities that you learned from those classes. That assumes that stats like STR and INT are important modifiers though. If the actual "weapon skill level" is an extremely important modifier, then having tons of STR or INT may not make leveling new classes a huge breeze afterall (though that may affect defensive stats somewhat differently).
