I haven't been banned 4x. I got hacked, bought an account which the original owner stole back, I sold Cuecue to Tz and my other 2 accounts were put on a temp ban cause of charge-backs cause I changed my card 3x in a single month and the 2 accounts got put on a ban status for "irregular activity" (because of the billing changes). I'm not playing XI anymore not because "ZOMG ALL MY ACCOUNTS WERE BANNED", but instead because I have no desire to reactivate them and continue FFXI.

Gorokai - hacked
Maller - stolen
Mauller - charge-back
Cuecue - sold to Tz
Tokester - charge-back

Not to mention, Gorokai, Maller, and Cuecue didn't even HAVE a SE ID... and Mauller and Tokester were separate ID's cause one was EU and one was NA! Quit fucking crying Andrew, you've posted the same "Woe is me" shit on our LS forums, Facebook and now here and you're not even posting FACTS. Jesus Christ this is just a fucking video game!

I am assuming that since I have technically owned only 1 account (my first which was hacked and lost), that being temp banned due to charge-backs wouldn't hurt me since neither of those accounts were under my name, only the billing info. You can't change the names on the accounts, only the billing info, so that's probably why I was invited.

And yes R3, I came back to the game after Goro was lost. The fucked up thing was it is still out there and currently on Asura... I was on Bismarck for a while with IRON and eventually came to Cerberus and played with WhirlingWind. Last month my two accounts were temp banned cause I was trying to get a Verified by Visa card and changed billing info 3x and when the month ended they didn't bill me and put me on temp ban for the charge-backs. I decided I had lost interest in XI and the HNMLS scene so I chose not to reactivate.

impossible to know how long the alpha will last, but if i remember correctly... the FFXI alpha only lasted a few weeks. And I would assume they have come a long way since FFXI (XIV being very different), so nice to guess that the Alpha will be roughly a month

If your temp ban was only last month, I would say that you got in because they picked the beta players back when you were still active.

A large company probably wouldn't wait until the last minute for a critical item like the list of beta players.

2.6 Beta Tester's Confidentiality Obligations
"Confidential Information" shall mean ...
(d) THE IDENTITY OF BETA TESTER AND THE FACT THAT BETA TESTER IS PARTICIPATING IN THE BETA TEST...
Confidential Information includes, without limitation, all such information disclosed to Beta Tester prior to the execution of this Agreement. Beta Tester acknowledges and agrees that the Confidential Information constitutes valuable trade secrets of Company and (subject to the other terms of this Section 2.6) agrees to keep Confidential all Confidential Information, and only use Confidential Information in connection with Beta Tester's participation in the Beta Test.

2.7 Prohibited Conduct
Beta Tester agrees that he or she will not engage in any of the following conduct:
(c) Breach any term, condition, or obligations set forth in this Agreement.

The contract is to prevent people from releasing information before SE is ready. The NDA remains in full force regardless of what information is disclosed by SE. It's SE's sole right to decide when to disclose content. Regardless of what SE discloses, all beta testers remain bound to the terms of the NDA.

That wont stop both the testers from spilling and leaking everything to BG, nor will it stop the members of BG from asking for more and more information.

I can't imagine the users of this forum (myself included) having to make due with useless theorycrafting for the next half a year while some alpha players get to gleefully fap to their hawt new mithra model in varying states of undress.

The mods already stated there will be a private forum for those who are confirmed to be alpha/beta testers.

Not to mention the beta site will have forums of some kind.

That should prevent a majority of leakage.
