As for your suggestion, I think it's good, but I would suggest the addition of performance feedback within the game in addition to the reward. For example, "You defeated Fafnir in 00:10:23 with 0 deaths. Your rank is ****" Something along those lines. Maybe include a server scoreboard (unless it's a hotly contested mob).

Especially if it's a hotly contested mob, you mean. Number of successful claims could be part of the ranking and scoreboard. Perhaps also displaying the number of attempts to claim could also be shown for comparison.

Yeah, that was during the hib-mania. I was always on midgard, pvp, then classic servers when trials of atlantic came out. But i wish theyd make DAoC 2.0, more than FFXIV.

Well, XIII isn't a multiplayer game, so scores are pretty worthless... nobody compares them, because there's no real reason to.

As for scoreboards for hotly contested mobs, that would be fine if they're hotly contested for sport. I have a feeling that scoreboards for hotly contested mobs would only encourage the practice of claiming mobs that have good loot that you don't really need. It's bad practice to deprive players of a particular battle and its rewards on the basis of their claiming ability.

I don't see the point in having score boards to be honest, I would sooner have wow style achievements and I'm not paticularly keen on that idea either.

Duno why people can't just play a game and be happy they did something, why do you need to feel you are the best ?

I think if anything just have it like FF11 where the BCNM's are timed, the fastest players are logged and at the end of the week/month they get to choose an item before its reset.

I sent them links to posts he made stating he was a tester (against NDA) as well as saying he'd be taking/has taken a few pics and shown them to friends, and that he'd be showing his friends irl the game. I take no credit for finding any of the info, it was all shown on certain sites, I just sent it to SE.

There is a good chance that one dude wasn't responsible for pooky and whomever else getting banned. He is just being vocal about it.

Maybe, however having to repeat the same crap over due to poor drop rates gets fairly annoying. Either way as long as everything is instanced so you don't need to deal with Dynamis BS or something like that endgame should be pretty fun this time around.

Itd be cool if we had small items that we would collect and turn in to get one bigger item. And maybe to obtain those items you could get some from quests, and then some items from NMs with decent drop rates. A little money and xp when smaller items turned in, and one big equip reward when all pieces are collected. And maybe they could be puzzle pieces, and you have to play a mini game and assemble the pieces to get the item.

Well the puzzle is a bit much... but some variety helps.
