Are Zam & Clopedia (public forums) to be trusted with your Square-Enix Account E-mail? Is there any official word of Square-Enix about this "special beta recruitment"? They both use the same form. But could this be a scam to get account info? What u think?

haha it was actually a question from a friend of mine. But he does have a point, since there's so much ffxi hacking. I didnt even bother with that thought, registered right away. And yea, both those community sites been around for quite some time now. But you never know! So it got me thinking, what if he was right. So i thought let it throw in here and see your opinions about it lol. And that i got.

So I was cleaning out my junk hotmail account and basically just deleting all... (over 1200) emails. One labled "FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Tester Selection Announcement‏" so I read..

I used only 1 email 0 proxies
Been playing FFXI since Oct. 03 NA release always have been active and still playing.
Have a BFG 285 graphics card windows platform and I also noted in my application that I am graduating with a bachelors degree in video game design (don't think that has anything to do with it but meh... whatever, anything helps) lol. I'm trying to get my foot in the door some how and this would be something to put on a resume :D

i think someone got in after cancelling their service, although thats only one person so i dont know how legit that is.

i saw like 1 or 2 people who claimed to get in without an active subscription, but really that makes up like 1% or the people i saw, the rest being people on here who have active accounts and got in.

I wonder if some people falsely claimed to be invited. I suspect some people may have lied for one reason or another. I also wouldn't put it past some people to spoof copies of the beta invitation for shits-and-giggles.

From what they were saying, they'll e-mail the list to SE tomorrow and SE will choose from there. It's 5pm here in Japan now, the last ones went out at 7am EST IIRC, which is 9pm here. So if they don't send in the next 4h, then it won't be till tomorrow prolly.
