can anyone check to see if forcing SLI or CrossFire works?
Totally forgot that Cure in XIV is AoE. Well, as described by the data mining, no one has seen it in action yet.
In a long fight HoT is definitely needed. It is useful when your main heal is on cool down, not to mention it usually generate less hate and can conserve you more mp. Regardless, I would find it worrisome to only have one type of heal. Especially if all Cure spells, doesn't matter what level, share the same timer.

sure, but i'm willing to bet, an archers success rate with a short sword was mega fail, especialy against a soldier whose specialty was killing you up close and personal. I have never heard of such a thing, but then again i don't know everything, i would like to tho, so feel free to correct me :D
It's interesting that enemy names are all in Japanese. Whereas in FFXI they're all in English. If it stays like this in the final game I wonder how that works. Unless there was a way to automatically translate the name using like a <t> command, it could make communication difficult.
Oh, that 1 is kick ass. Shaders are gonna look kewl
From what I've seen, the animations are already pretty solid. They've got some great followthrough and secondary motion. Even the lalafell running animation has been tweaked with more arm movement. They undoubtedly have a ton of work to do with the unavailable races though, so you're probably correct in thinking that the animators are busy getting the final passes done first.
I wouldn't mind being able to sit in chairs, (but it's also kind of lolsy to be so srs bsns about them.)
If it isn't in, when you get into the beta, start asking SE about implementing it by release or in a patch. Code and animation-wise, it wouldn't be too difficult.
Uh, I'm pretty sure that it won't be like that in the final release. Why would SE go through the trouble of having only English voice actors for all versions of the game, and then have monster names in hiragana? It's interesting that enemy names are all in Japanese. Can lump me in with the crazy people. Don't give two shits about being able to sit in a chair, focus on the actual gameplay please.

New Mithra are delicious, hated the XI design but they're great in XIV. Gonna be hard to pick a race this time.
I wouldn't emphasis too much on object interaction. I mean, I could care less if I can sit on a stool/chair or just stand and sit on floor. Sure, it would look nice, but it's something that won't break the game. I rather have SE work on more important things, like game mechanics, bugs, etc etc.
