this thread moves damn too fast.
To be fair, why do 'modern MMOs' need voiceovers for every person? It's a huge resource drain and I would much prefer that investment put elsewhere in the game, I don't need someone to tell me how to kill 10 rabbits.
Besides, if WoW is anything to go by, no one will care about quest content anyway.
nvm, thanks for uploading the pics tho
Trying to figure this out...

Its the video upload, where it says "Key", that means if it requires password or not, the ones in bold are "No" the non-bold ones are "Yes".
you are seriously miss understanding.
1) If its in a cut scene it needs voice overs.
- Someone telling you to kill 10 rabbits does not need a cut scene nor voice overs. Even though I dont like quests like that "Go kill xy mob" if they are in a game by no means does it need a cut scene, just be like wow/aion/war/whatever mmo and bring up a box to read if you want, and under it a summary. (I am by no means saying 14 will have this the GL system should replace quests like this and I like that)
I am saying in a quest, that has a cut scene, you need voiceovers. Characters moving their mouths and no words coming out is stupid.
As for resources I mean you have the cut scene, you have backround music I mean wtf how much more resources can be put to have voiceovers done in a CS? Are you running on a Atari 2600?
So was there any new info posting in the JP test while I was sleeping?
Not really, but I have one little tidbit for you.
When you create an item, you select the things you want to use. One of which is a dye. So you can dye items how you want. (Proven)
Apparently it's not a selection of generic colours. So you may use red dye, but it's the armour that's set, not the colour. A red dye may be a different shade on different types of armour. (Quoting someone)
I hope they weren't already deleted by the admin
Some newpics, but lot of people couldn't get logged on.
I uploaded all the pics.

CSes should have voice acting. Non-CSes need not have voice acting, though a recent trend is to have a "start up" voice for each person you talk to, with the rest of the conversation done through text.
The only other alternative to VAed CSes in a supposedly next-gen MMO would be actual subtitles at the bottom of the screen, similar to a movie.
So hear alot of alpha 1 and 2, will there only be two phases of alpha and then kick into beta?
I hated in AoC that it went to a CS for just about every damn quest ... it was nice the first time through for immersion but if you have a habit of alt-ing it got olde
Well I can see where you're coming from, but unfortunately for yourself, that's just a style the team making this game use. It's not like other MMOs where there aren't going to be that many 'quest cutscenes' (as opposed to mission cutscenes), I think that the open world quests will involve them a lot if it's anything like FFXI. Considering how 'wordy' SE likes to be with this kind of thing, it would take a hell of a long time to voice every one of these scenes. Perhaps Bioware has money to burn in this sort of area but I don't think it's a trend that'll attach itself to all modern mmmos. It's always going to cost a fair bit, no matter when the game's being made.you are seriously miss understanding.

As for the comment on the resource drain, I'm not talking about my end [christ] I'm talking about from the perspective of a company making a huge investment and trying to divide up their available resources to the different areas of production.
