Questions/ requests
- How due the abilities combine , are there any weird combo’s
- Is any tester going to try to skillchain today?
- Not sure if this has been posted, but how to the lalafell "speak?" Is it similiar to FFXI where they rhyme or something, or maybe waybe play with tordy wordys?
- Real interaction with in-game objects(sitting in chairs etc)
- im not sure if this has been talked about, but does anyone else think that you will be able to get special leve's from your class guild?
- Not really a mechanic but a screenshot of the moon since no one I've seen has taken a good one yet and it's pretty in FFXIV. More info on anything Conjurer would also be nice.
- trying to find out next how the exp gain will be for physical level after you changed to a level 1 class
- Execute a battle regimen, record it, edit out your name, post.
Info gathered so far
Do the AOE spells all require a specific target? Or can you cast them on an area on the map?
- Specific target. There was never enough monsters close together to see the AoE effect so im not sure of the range.
- What are all the amenities in Limsa Lominsa, what guilds reside there?
- Blacksmith's, Armorer's, Fisherman's, Arcanist's, Marauder's, Musketeer's, Adventurer's
Leveling system
- Physical level doesn’t change when you change class
- Hp/Mp and all attributes like str, vit etc don’t change
- when you change class; however, in case you raised a stat after a level up you keep the upgrade (seems like all classes do have the same starter stats;
- at least lancer and minder do; don’t know if different races change anything)
- Physical attack, accuracy, evasion, magic accuracy, magic damage changed after class change
- Physical level is not limited to your class level
- Class level up doesn’t change attributes nor hp/mp
Skill/Abilities system
- Works like blue mage magic points system
- You get a number of action points, to start I had 20 action points.
- Each skill has an action point requirement; all my starting conj skills were 1 action point, so i was 7/20.
- Not all skills can transfer over though, for example my MP restoration skill said Conjurer only. Meanwhile all the elemental spells had no restriction.
- Didn't have enough time to switch classes and test out the strength diff of the spells, but it's interesting none the less.
- Oh, also there were 2 rows of slots u could equip skills in, I forgot how many slots per row but i know its the same # of slots on the action bar at the bottom. So I assume thats the max amount of skills u can have equipped at any given time.
Spells (conjurer)
- Magic dart: Ranged magic attack(MP cost:0 TP cost:0)
- *forgot the name* Restores MP (MP cost:0 TP cost:0 Recast 1800 sec)
- Elemental Spells : Deals elemental Damage(MP cost: ? TP:cost: ? Recast: ?) Cone shaped AoE
Spells (Thaumaturge)
- Scourge ? (MP cost: ? TP cost: ? Recast ? sec)
- Banish ? (MP cost: ? TP cost: ? Recast ? sec)
- Drain ? (MP cost: ? TP cost: ? Recast ? sec)
- Sacrifice ? (MP cost: ? TP cost: ? Recast ? sec)
We get any leads on a stream for NA slot tonight yet? PM me >.<
Hardware discussions, this way: http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/showt...=79570&page=17
I think this game will run pretty poorly on PS3 with a lot of character models on screen, 15 man parties and in towns.
Optimising a PC game to the PS3's CPU is guna be no fun, crystal tools or not.
Isn't the current setting considered low :SStupid question. Has SE said anything about adding a graphic setting soon for lower end PCs?
Edit: No deleting posts?
If you were a level 10 Conj Physical 10
And you switched to a Lv. 1 Thauma Physical 10
You'd have high int and it'd make levelling an absolute joke, or you'd have massive HP to the point where nothing would kill you
The guy said your Attack, Acc, etc changes when you change classes, but main stats don't
that's why I'm led to believe that say.. STR for example will do nothing directly, but will scale attack depending on your class level, that'd stop you from 1 shotting everything. 1 STR may give you 20 attack at level 10 Thauma, but when you switch to your CONJ maybe it'll just add 2, to give you a little edge, but not make you overpowered.
Speculation/Guesses/BlindGuesses^
@Azure don't expect "massive hp" Just to get from 200 to 300 would take at least 5-6 levels of putting ALL your points in it currently.
there is a bit of a difference between that and HD 5770, I can run metro 2033 on ultra, with minor stutter when I get 4 or 5 creatures on screen, now with an older card I could not even run it properly at playable levels on High settings, for me the extra money is worth spending.
I can't see it possibly staying like that though. 100 STR is the same difficulty to attain as 100 HP? I don't know, maybe STR does a lot less in XIV, but with how much damage enemies do, i'd feel like I'm wasting points by putting them in 1 to 1 for HP. :/
I hope they change it to at least 1 point for 10 HP, that'd be more tolerable
