Sorry if this has been answered, but do attributes go up at all besides for what you decide to put in them?

So did the one star at the leve show up at the end or before you accepted it? Perhaps it's a sort of ranking on how fast you did it (maybe some other factors too) if it's the former. Gives you incentive to do it better to get bigger rewards.
"Botches the synthesis"...Pls god not again.
heres the enemy NPCs I found, the Greater Peiste WTF pwned me btw, I was surpirsed that this happened after read1ing somewhere that few enemy NPCs would reatc aggresivly towards PCs, so I guess that this is one of the few.

i dont believe so.
No stars showed up or anything. I didnt know how many stars i got until i went back to the guild leve NPC and tried to get more, which then that box appeared asking me to select the leves i finished for a bonus on the new leve i was selecting. So did the one star at the leve show up at the end or before you accepted it? Ah wait someone already pointed out the thing about SE saying only exp from mobs
Ah, sweet. Thanks.
More pics.
Spoiler: show
New question - My friend saw glasses/spectacles in one of the shops. What do they do? Are they some cliche +int/mind shit or they some awesome +acc equip item?
SE said in the full release they plan to h ave a way to respec.
Also, one thing i noticed this time around was my frame rates. I think they might have improved over the first alpha test.
with my nvidia 8800gt 2gb, 4gb ram, Q6600 quad @ 2.45ghz, i was getting acceptable frame rates anywhere there wasn't a huge crowd of people. In areas populated by like 20+ people (like around the crystals) frame rates were horrible, id guess 3fps.
away from the crystals tho, out and about fighting mobs, frame rates were pretty good. Cutscenes still lagged a bit and inside town wasn't as smooth, but id say my setup is defiantly playable at whatever settings the alpha client comes @ by default.
looks like the curtains match the drapes on mi'qotes
Fred your computer has similar specs to mind do you plan on upgrading anything. I also have 8800 GT 2.4 quad core my comp is about 2 years old i really don't want to upgrade. Do you think because this game isnt full optimized yet thats why u were getting horrible fps in group of people?
I recently upgraded from 8800 GTS, other than that and my OS is Win 7 32bit, my PC sepcs are exact same as yours, I noticed with my new card a low framrate in populated areas at 8FPS and a high while fighting and capturing video around 22-24 FPS, as far as the alpha goes I am pretty sre its capped between 25-30FPS
BTW I now have a Diamond Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5 PCI-E video card.
Its possible. Theres no way to know if the alpha is at max settings or not either. So if you turned down some things it would definitely be fine, unless u want everything maxed out.
On the alpha forums someone posted that if u have bad frame rates on nvidia card, u can turn off PhysX in the Nvidia control panel, turn the sliders all to performance, and turn off shadows using the .ini file for about 30% increase in frame rates. i never tried it personally, though.
Another question fred. So if for instance i want to start the game as a miner. If i get boried of that and want to try marauder all i got to do is equip or a 2hand axe? On some other forums I am hearing some iffy info. But now looking at your pics it seems you can go from Disc of magic to War just by switching weapons. I really want to start off a miner but I dont know how long till boredom sets in before I want to go kill stuff.
Correct. to switch all you need to do is equip a different weapon. Gil is pretty easy to get at this point. One of the starting quests awarded 2000gil, and each of the starting guild leves awards 400~700 gil. By the time i was a lv 5 conj i had 5k, and the low level weapons cost 400~700 gil, so you're good.
