FFXIV Closed Alpha/Beta Discussion (Cancelled for this week)

So for the hell of it I decided to get the alpha client installed even though I don't have a pass
for the most part it's been going at 400-800kb/s the entire time and is up to around 80% now after about an hour

I feel bad for the people who had to get it at < 40kb/s like I know most did

Id guess Acn = Arcanists, because there was an arcanists guild on the limsa lominsa map.
BSM would be blacksmith.
WDK would be wood worker.
MAN = manthra.

I was thinking MYS as mystic as well..but as a Mystic Knight. Paladin sort of class?

Yeah, I'm assuming EXC, FNC, and ENF are missing disciples of war, whereas MSK and MYS are two more disciples of magic.

ACN, I have no clue. ARM is probably Armorer, SHP probably Shepherd.

Doesn't that make 6 Crafting classes?

When you click on Land or Hand in character creation it lists 5 each, I think, just only one's lit up. I forget where I saw it and I didn't check what classes were listed.

Odds are all the classes that haven't been announced already won't be in at launch, but there may be shit in the game already to prepare them to be in in maybe a big patch a few months after. I know for a fact the day Musketeer is put in (or whatever the call the gun class) I will def pick it up. If it was added in before launch it'd probably be my 1st class.
