Does it matter? Look at the real world, how many people do you know called Matt, John, David etc.? I actually like the system, means people won't have to add random shit to the end of their names if they choose something popular.
Anyway, I think /t system will just be auto complete. Or /t last name.
want pics of the installer in an hour and a half? lol
hmmm, that will be my 1k post, couldn't have timed it better
of course lol
I registered just so I could answer Seanr:
Yes.
Photoshop called.
Anyway, 48 minutes before client.![]()
Are we going to be able to really do anything till the first testing parse?
Other than datamining? Afraid not.![]()
It would be funny if everyone's installer is slightly different so that they can catch NDA breakers. But I figure they don't care whether that gets leaked.
No one is going to get booted for busting the NDA, get over it. There will be a lot more people playing in the Beta than the Alpha so quit bitching.
and unless some stupid number of people do get banned they're not going to hand out more alpha keys for every person that does get banned... though we know no one will...
Just like no one got banned for Salvage exploiting? Squeenix has a banstick bigger than Mal'Ganis server's epeen in WoW, and they're not afraid to use it.
Edit: If you don't believe it will happen, I encourage you to post uncensored images of the testing, with your character name shown. Will link to scrub's I told you so dance on youtube.
We can all just stop assuming shit and acting important and just wait for the game to come out.
Yeah I was just about to say that. It's too much effort on their part. Banning 10 NDA breakers from a 4500 alpha isn't going to affect their testing. Once some are banned, it will put others off breaking it.
I don't care if people break it, I'm enjoying the info. My PC can't run the client without a graphics+PSU upgrade and I'm holding off on that as long as possible.

Spoiler: show
I'm sorry, but this is absolutely fucking retarded:
You cannot be serious.Additionally, we have confirmed an issue with the combination of Windows Vista and NVIDIA GeForce series graphics cards where an error occurs just before the game's opening event, preventing the game from properly running. As a result, the FINAL FANTASY XIV Alpha Version cannot be played on systems featuring this setup. If your PC matches the above criteria, we regret to ask that you please update your system.
