Interesting. Wonder if that also includes Windows 7... Got a 9800GX2 myself, and it uses a G92 core. It's not like I wasn't go to upgrade for XIV, but I really hope they fix it for beta.

Hope it's some kind of retarded April fool's that missed the boat, but knowing the issues XI had with Vista + Nvidia I very much doubt it. Seriously though, this has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen them do - three weeks after the site goes live "hey, here's the client, here's the schedule, only two days to go! Oh by the way, if you're running Vista with an Nvidia card you can't play the game, whoopsie daisy".

Could get both for under 300 total on newegg, probably under 200-250 if you go cheap.

Oh I'm hoping to go very cheap. I'll probably settle for a GeForce 9800, or perhaps one a bit better.


That new info about graphics cards is terrible. I'm pleased I'm not one of those unlucky enough to be caught by that. I'd just go with the skip movie and disable shadow thing they suggested and keep trying until you get in. You only have to get past the opening movie once anyway.
