Maybe to get it to install try restarting windows in safe mode with network support, not really ideal but worth a shot.

I don't like this.. NVIDIA was ahead for a long time, that's why I have one. If I were to buy in now I'd probably get a ATI card but no need to hate on us who are to poor to buy into each series. Also a reason not to (or maybe a reason to) use NVIDIA is that they pay developers to disable features for ATI cards.

there is always a alpha/beta before release... this is nothing new for any mmo. these things shouldn't make you happy, they are standard affair

Let me rephrase, I am happy this stuff is happening now rather than in the full release. I know alphas and betas are normal affairs but there have been many games (especially MMOs) that just flop at release with stuff like this and try to make up ground later. Fair?

They (AMD/ATI) merged close to four years ago. I don't think you can really cheer them on in the GPU wars while mocking their CPU designs and have much of a cogent argument while doing so.
