They'd probably be pissed if you said the email contents, just saying if you got in the beta probably isn't that big of a deal. I mean.. people are going to want to talk about it I think right?

You will be participating in the Alpha Test, which will be taking place
prior to the launch of the Beta Test. Additionally, several closed Beta Tests and a larger-scale open Beta
Test are scheduled to take place in the months following the conclusion
of the Alpha Test.

so don't start crying "I didn't get in" just yet. You still have a chance to be picked, this is just the first round.

Honestly don't think they care. They don't care enough to research FFXI accounts of people actually calling them about it; what makes you think they are going to research a forum account of someone saying they got in and try to link it to an email address?

I bet that most of these people posting on here didn't even get into the beta. One person says "I'm in" then everyone follows suit, lol. Be truthful with it! How about posting a screenshot of your Email so we know your not lying? I know some of these people on here saying they got in are definately being truthful.

I didn't get into the beta but i'm one happy camper right now, that i guarantee you. ^_^;
There's still chances to get in at a later time but i'd still be happy if i didn't get in at all because i know i'll be playing the full finsished game before the end of the year. I can wait, definately can.

The alpha starts sometime around March 11 when the beta test website goes live (i don't think there's a specific start date yet) then the beta will start within the following months of the alpha.
