This music is great. You can definitely hear Nobou's many influences in these tracks. Listening to the drum beat in "Upbeat" sounds like Nobou was hanging out at the back of Shelter NYC and decided to make a house track. Good stuff.

Well I must say that I'm a bit worried now about the new songs. I hope Nobuo doesn't go The Black Mages-Synthesizer style all the way trough the game. We need some calmer songs too. Like Ronfaure/Gustaberg etc. etc. in FFXI, epic songs.

Oh good. I'm glad. The english vocal song in the chamber choir build toward the end does seem to have almost the same arrangement to FFVIII's intro.

Call me crazy, but I remember reading Nobou saying that some of the music was material that never found it's way into other games? Maybe that is why a lot of this has a really classic 80's gaming feel to it?

Hope people realize that just because you can download the game doesn't mean they will let you play it. They will most likely have a login where you have to put your SE ID and such in.
