Nothing wrong with Blu Ray atm. Starting to sound like the primary issue is the fact that the clocks are resetting and causing all the DRM, Digital Protection and Licenses to go bonkers on the systems.

In short, if you haven't turned your system on recently, don't bother, but it probably won't help you either way. If it's actually an issue linked to the PSN in some way, shape or form, it should be resolved whenever whatever PSN issues are resolved. If it's a firmware issue, we may all be up shit creek without a paddle for a while.

I just turned my PS3 on an hour ago, got the same error as others, my date got changed, and I seemed to have lost my Red Faction trophies.

At any rate, least it's just Red Faction, I wasn't aiming for platinum in it. Keeping my PS3 off in the meanwhile though as I'd rather not learn that it'll kill the trophies for any other game I boot up on it...

It'll kill trophies for any other games you try to boot up, but if you've synched to Sony's servers recently it won't do any damage. They'll just recover when this gets sorted out.

More info popping up, there's word going around that this isn't affecting any PS3s (fat or slim) manufactured within the last year or two. I've only had mine for a year and a half, but I'm not willing to mess with it right now (and my wife has control over the TV atm, so I couldn't even if I wanted to).

Anyone have one of the more recent 60 or 80gb fats that can confirm/deny on this?

I've got a fat 60GB (bought in March 2007), but my clock has not gotten changed. I have intermittent connection problems with PSN as it is, and it failed to connect when I turned it on today (about 12:00pm PST), but I didn't think anything of it. I've been playing Star Ocean 4 no problem all day (it has a trophy check when it boots up).

I'm hesitant to try logging in to PSN now, or putting in Heavy Rain, though....

Whatever the Network bug is, it's something that infected the Network late afternoon. I've had my system on all day even though I haven't been playing and I'm playing now with no issues. Something is affecting the connections to the Network and causing shit to wonk up. P.S I was planning on buying 2 games on tuesday -_-

In any case I'd like to see if turning off people's routers before they tried to boot their ps3's would help. Maybe turning off the internet sync after you turn it on then trying to play whatever game isnt loading.
