is it Just final fantasy? or is it with any other game? Try running something that stresses out the pc? Seems like somethings overheating? idk, do u have a way to check your temps?

    HD5890?

    What are your temps?

Why did you buy an EVGA board?

What are the other specs of the system?

Unfortunately I don't really play any other game on my PC but FF11.

How can i stress the PC and yes i'm sure i can check the temp when i start my PC in the BIOS unless there is an app out there that i could get.

It's an HD 5870 DDR5, I guess i got that Evga X58 Classified since it's apparently one of the best out there i think.

Here is what i got for my PC:

    Intel i7 920
    Evga X58 Classified
    12GB Ram Corsair Dominator
    ATI HD 5870
    Ultra X3 1200w Power Supply
    H50 Colling system for CPU
    XtremeGamer Blaster Sound Card
    Windows 7
    1TB Hard Drive
It's a Thermalk Case with couple big already in it front, back, top, side fans

I think that's about it. Some ppl think it couple be the power supply but i dunno how 1200w can run 1 g.card
Or bcz that motherboard is meant for a Nvidia card instead i dunno really.

It's really frustrating and hope anyone can help fix this. thx

I really hate EVGA boards, but that probably isn't the problem.

I doubt the PSU is causing any problem either.

What it sounds like is the GPU is overheating. Do you have any other system-stressful games to try out?

Its the RAM. Run Prime95 large FFT [Custom Min: 4096k, Max: 4096k, 11GB RAM, uncheck "Run FFTs in place"].

I had the same problem. Memtest doesnt pick up on it unforunately. I had to RMA the ram, otherwise I'd have random reboots if I ran at anything above 1440mhz on the ram.

It could also mean that you dont have enough QPI/DRAM voltage or vDIMM. Make sure your Uncore is at least 2x the system memory multiplier (so if memory multiplier is 8x, the Uncore multi should be at least 16x..though I like to do 2x+1 or 2x+2 ie 17x or 18x)

Thx for everyone's help, but it was actually the PSU.

Apparently many ppl out there had issue with the X3 Ultra 1000w playing games, that it would just reboot everytime.

So today i went to get a Corsair 850w PSU and my PC hasnt reboot since then.

I have been playing FF had full resolution for the past couple hours!

As one person mentioned earlier, it's likely the RAM. My original question would be why 12 gigs of RAM? Almost anything you're going to do - 6 is overly suffice..

As for the people not liking EVGA boards, I love them. I have the "Vanilla" version of what you have (E758) and I love it. They overclock very well.

If you haven't made your way to EVGA forums yet, you should do so. There are a TON of highly helpful people there so long as you approach the issue right and not be a dick about it.

Blah... I now read up and see you found it was the PSU. Cool... I wonder if you have the CPU OC'd @ all? I only ask that because I read alot about people having much more issues getting a nice overclock stabled w/ 12 gigs of RAM vs. 6 -

    Anyways, g'luck~

I know you solved your problem but I'd check your BIOS settings to make sure they're where they need to be. I believe VTT in particular needs a boost with high speed DDR3 like Corsair Dominator stuff runs.

Then again if you didn't fiddle with your BIOS settings, chances are you are running at one of the default RAM speeds rather than the rated speeds.
