Good Horror Anime?

Hi, i'm looking for some good horror animes.

I've seen School Days, FMA, Death Note, Darker Than Black and Hellsing OVA which aren't exactly close to the horror genre, in my opinion, but do include aspects.

Elfen Lied. Don't know if I'd necessarily classify as horror, but definitely watch if you haven't seen it.

Chobits is definitely horror. As for some shit... I don't find manga scary, but some weird ones are probably GYO, Monster, Homunculus (spell that right?), Berserk (not horror, but weird and awesome), Elfen Lied, Gantz (manga), Battle Royal (manga), Basilisk, Ninja Scroll, Evangelion... that's all I got for now.

"Mad Pierrot" episode of bebop was some pretty good nightmare fuel.

Elfen Lied isn't really horror, so much as insanely depressing, but I'd still recommend it.

There isn't much horror anime that's actually worth it, most of what makes it to animated adaptation and is actually disturbing is mostly gory murder mystery.

If you're satisfied with 'horror' stopping at 'bouts of extreme violence' then Monster & Higurashi will fit the bill.

You can also check out Berserk, although the manga is vastly superior and you'll want to end up reading that. Claymore also has a lot of horror and crazy violence.
