    no...

Go to Oztroja and leave all the yags alone, make sure no one else is killing them. The NM wont pop, I found this out the hard way.
I used to camp Mee Deggi the Punisher when it was camped by gilsellers. I managed to get it about half the time. I am quite familiar with it's pop conditions when it used to only pop in the center island, and then when it would pop anywhere in the courtyard. Then when they made it's drop items rare/ex they divorced Mee/Quu from their placeholder.

I kept track of the 8 yagudo's in the perimeter, the two yagudo's in the center, and the one yagudo that can move between the perimeter and the center. I found that when Mee/Quu, the pop does not replace the pop of any other yagudo in the area. The rest of the yagudo's will pop as if Mee/Quu never existed. Before, Mee/Quu shared a spawn with the yagudo that is able to move between the perimeter and the center.

When I discovered this I did exactly as you suggested with Mee Deggi the Punisher. I cleared all the yagudo's and waited for Mee Deggi to pop. Incidentally 8 yagudo's were in the perimeter, 2 in the center, 1 that could move between center and perimeter, and Mee Deggi the Punisher were up as I entered. After the room filled again with all 11 yagudo's, they were not touched until Mee Deggi once again appeared. 1 hour after ToD, Mee Deggi the Punisher popped. 12 Yagudo's were once again in the room.

It wasn't unusual to wait 4 hours for Mee/Quu to pop when it had a placeholder. It isn't unusual to wait that long now. Don't bother counting the minutes between the yagudo pops for Mee/Quu because it won't help you. All you can do is wait for 1 hour after ToD and then wait some more.

    TL;DR:
Mee Deggi the Punisher and Quu Domi the Gallant no longer have placeholders

Mee and Quu do have a placeholder, but not every detail is understood. If you kill other Yags as well as the placeholder then, rarely, he can pop shortly after the placeholder repops.

If not a placeholder, they are definately linked to another yagudo so call it what you will.

This is somewhat what I believed to be true. I got to that conclusion when I camped it like, 3? years ago, after the patch. Like you need to kill the PH to open the NM's window, which would last until the next PH popped.

Although, thinking about this, I vaguely remember the NM popping some seconds after the PH repopped, while fighting the PH. So a completely timed spawn sounds pretty logical to me, I guess.

In the instance I was speaking of only one other player was in Oztroja and he was camping Quu. I had entertained the thought that Quu's placeholder is in Mee's courtyard and Mee's placeholder is in Quu's courtyard. I have not had the opportunity to prove/disprove this so I didn't think it was worth mentioning.

Starting camping Goblintrap again today, and noticed something a bit strange. I had camped him a couple weeks ago, and had noted that he and the placeholders always popped at :00 and :30. However today, they were all popping at :12 :42.

I wanted to test this a bit more, so ran out to Qufim and killed a few bounty hunters. I had also previously tested on these before and they also always repopped at :00 and :30, however now they are popping at :25 and :55.

So different zones can definitely have different spawn check times, but the question now is what cause them to change? I'm fairly sure Carbuncle hasn't had a maintenance since I did these tests, so is it possible the timers change after conquest tally?

I doubt it's tied to an in-game event. It is possible SE's server groups have their own clocks that determine mob spawn time and aren't perfectly synchronized. If you felt like checking this, could just go back tomorrow and see if it's shifted another second in either direction.

I figured I couldn't have been the first one to figure this out. But it seems I'm not the only one who didnt know this(albeit we're probably the minority here), so at least this brought it to their attention too. Sorry for making a thread on on old news then, hopefully the next person who wonders about this will at least have an easier time finding this thread than I did trying to find a post about it @.@.

Maybe I'm not quite clear on what you're saying, but...

In my very recent experience, both Mee and Quu definitely have placeholders that respawn according to the normal 12-minute interval between pops. While camping, I've had sections of time where I have had and haven't had competition (where the competition would clear the room of Yagudo, while I consistently clear the placeholder) and neither the placeholder nor the NM itself would deviate from its approximately 12-minute repop.

Mee and Quu each have two placeholders - however, those placeholders share a single spawn that pops consistently every 12 minutes from its death (similarly to the Tiger/Doll shared spawn at Nue camp that isn't the placeholder for Nue). I have never encountered a deviation from the 12-minute respawn timer aside the aforementioned 30-second interval it takes for any mob in a zone to repop.

In both situations, I've had the NM repop at the 1-hour mark since its last ToD up until 3 hours. Oftentimes upon coming into the camp, it would take a single PH kill, wait 12 minutes, and the NM would pop. I also had a single situation in where I entered the camp with competition which left the yagudo on the center ledge untouched (where the PH happened to be at the time) but killed everything else. When I killed that PH, the NM spawned 12 minutes later (which I claimed and killed).

I suppose my question is: Are you suggesting that Quu/Mee have multiple placeholders (which isn't consistent with my own experience) or are you suggesting that killing the other Yagudo have an effect on the NM's repop time?

In my experience, they each have a PH, which is 1 mob that tends to have more freedom of movement compared to the other mobs in the room, in Mee's case either a Interrogator or Drummer. When you kill them, it has a chance to pop Mee/Quu. Mee/Quu can spawn before the 12 minutes(I've seen Mee Deggi pop around 6 minutes after the last PH death), and the window closes when the PH spawns, opens again when you kill it, etc. Generally the people who mass kill the room don't come with WS and it's quick enough to kill them at higher levels between PH spawns, but after that 1 6 minute fiasco I don't bother anymore and just pay attention.

I've never distinctly timed how long between it but when I keep track of mobs with ability timers (hasso for mobs on 5 min repop, etc) the NM usually pops after the mob would have been in it's place by a noticeable amount.
Had this happen when I was camping Eldritch Edge. Was killing the WAR PH, and then I'd just chill near the spine for its pop if it was gonna happen. Since the PH could sometimes respawn up north, it was usually a matter of waiting a bit before going to check. Anyway, Edge decided to pop like 15s after the PH should have, so I was heading north to kill the PH thinking that had spawned. Of course, someone else wound up getting the claim because I'd moved too far away to attempt it.

It became an obsession for me to get my fucking Ochimusha's, I was in there constantly for a couple of weeks between no-dropping bastardism, and the random people wandering in just as Deggi's bitchass pops in their face.

Having camped both simultaneously with a friend, they definitely don't share PH's, don't have a PH in the others room, and have one PH which is the opposite type of the ones on the center island/can move freely from quadrant to quadrant, where all the other yags bump into invisible walls and turn back.

I've left myself targeted on the ph mob for hours while reading/keeping an eye out, while getting sarutobi for a friend (he passed for me when we went 1/1 on a lark, but he dced and I wasn't going to risk getting domi while he wasn't on), no pop. I've gotten Deggi/Domi after a PH death while I was the only one there killing every time I've had it to myself, dunno why anyone would think they don't have a PH.
