Have Snow defend the entire time, and when the drive gauge is full just hit Square. Don't try to hit them, you can't

Which of Lightning's weapons do you recommend leveling up, Correction? I lost access the the JP game before I could finish and mess around much with upgrading. Both Blaze Edge and Gladius seem like decent choices, but they lack special bonuses.

I went Lionheart > Ultima since it's her only weapon with real utility (Lucky Break). Of all the weapons it's the one I wouldn't convert to Omega though, since you lose Lucky Breaker and it's the only weapon that can do that.

That's what I did too, Lionheart > Ultima.

Not that far into yet, but a few comments. One is I don't find Vanille's voice annoying at all, so I'm not really sure what the complaint is. The only two complaints I do have are that the camera is a little wonky at times and annoying to control and that the vocalized "hmms, huhs, GASP!, *take a breath*" are all just as loud, if not louder than the dialogue which is rather annoying (although I think this has been common since they started adding voices into JRPGs).

Oh seriously? I thought final stage of Lionheart kept that shit. Not that I did it myself, had a maxed tier2 Blaze Edge on the JP version and i got an almost max tier 2 Gladius on my current playthrough, couldn't be arsed back then to go for Omega's.

I don't understand why people are complaining about the game being linear. At one point I got the choice to walk on the left side of a rock or the right. I chose the left.

Guys, I recommend using Libra 2-3 times on the Eidolons to figure out how to defeat them and raise their Gesault bar quickly... then just scan them and see what it says, it will tell you exactly how to defeat them.

If it says to amass a chain, just hit them a few times as a commando so their stagger bars will go down slowly, and then switch to ravager and build a chain quickly... other than that, it will have specific things to do as well (like continuously healing a party member, buffing them, or even defending yourself at the right time..)

Once you do a few of these they're really not a big deal.

The Ultimania Guide (which can be wrong, I've already found some errors in it), indicates that it loses Lucky Breaker but not Early Break when upgraded to Omega. All the final weapons seem to lose their secondary ability in exchange for your 6th ATB slot.
