I really dont like how it loads a 'fight scene' everytime you run into an enemy.. kinda tedious. Hopefully with more abilities in the mix it will be more fun though.

I remember when it got JP release and a few JP's were hosting it on JustinTV via capcard/whatever. Shit looked hawt, also is anyone buying the Special Ps3 edition? Im sure there was an Xbox too...

Not pre-ordered it but will be popping into town to pick it up on release morning - dunno when I'll get the time to get it played though since I'm getting married the following week and, despite my dear fella's protests, he's NOT bringing the PS3 to the wedding.

Mind you - my record for taking ages to complete a game currently stands at the 4 and a half years it's just taken me to complete FFVIII - I tend to quit games/pick them up/quit them again quite heavily unless they're amazingly good.

As far as I'm aware, the FFXIII PS3 was Japan only. North American isn't getting anything special PS3-related with regards to XIII. Not sure about Europe though.

Dunno whether to pick this up for 360 or PS3. Watching them both in motion any differences in graphical quality aren't even noticeable. Probably just check out what stores have at midnight release and decide then, though leaning more towards 360.

IMO PS3 version wins solely on 1080p cutscenes and uncompressed audio. It's going to look and sound awesome on my setup at home and I can't wait.

1080p cutscenes is certainly nice. Uncompressed audio will be unnoticable on my shitty TV speakers. It's pretty much a case of shorter load times (seems to be a bit shorter on 360 anyway) vs better graphics on PS3 for me. Only reason I'm leaning towards the former is because my brother has a 360 too, so on the off chance he ends up wanting to play it he wont have to buy it too.

I just lol at the commercial. Seriously...there's too much to look at in such a small period of time. The small boxes doesn't help either. Like FF12, I'm picking this up when it's been knocked down in price.
