I'm very behind the pack because I'm pacing myself (ok fine, job/apartment hunting, but still!) and I'm kinda' playing on the same system as my girlfriend, somewhat leapfrog style in terms of progression because she had been looking forward to this just as much as I had.

God I love this game. The story, the voice acting, the lip syncing, the seamless transitions and everything else that is just pure eye candy. Really this is probably the best FF in such a long time. I don't know why people were bitching about the linearity; it gave all the characters such depth, and it's not like the entire game is that 1-way. At times it feels a lot like I'm playing a movie, and I love it, lol. Oh, and special mention to doing away completely with the dialog boxes and having everyone have a voice all the time.

This is actually a major complaint made by a couple of the dipshits I know on another forum. Neither has the game and have convinced themselves that you can set everything to "auto" and win handily.

Except you're still wrong about being able to auto-smash your way through the entire game. You won't beat the overwhelming majority of missions, bosses, or regular enemies in the final third of the game that way.

You wanna shit all over the game that's fine, but try to do something besides parrot the three part smashed review.
