Think he means total, since the sword itself is capped at 448STR/190Magic for lv61 Helter Skelter. He probably isn't as far as you in the game/hasn't done as much STR nodes on the CP grids as you.

Got to play a few more hours last night. Just got to where I can begin using CP on the Crystalarium thingy. Really enjoying this FF.

I don't know if I was already too drunk or what, but it seems I'm stuck on the first path of the Crystalarium. I see some big crystals below, but can't get to them. I guess they'll open up later?

Those motor cycles are a beast if you forget about Sentinel when they charge up Gattling Gun. I wasn't looking and I was dead 5 seconds later lol

The big one at the bottom is just the start point basically. More paths will open up and you'll keep climbing levels as you progress through the game. Most of the time you will get enough CP to max each level as you progress or at least come close to it though.

Started playing yesterday morning and just got to chapter 10 :D Can't decide who to use now X.x Everyone turned out to be quite cool in battle.

I just got to the point where you can make your own group too. Right now rocking Lightning, Fang and Sazh and it's working nicely. Have to cure yourself with Lightning when you need it but that's not a problem for me, I enjoy playing the buff/healing more than Attacking. COM+COM+SYN is just raping all these random battles. Bravery and Haste is too good.

Meh I'mma need to use Sazh for Haste/Bravery. I really don't want to drop Vanille x.x; but its so dumb not being hasted.

EDIT: Currently use Light/Fang/Vanille for reference.

What chapter do boss fights start getting harder? Everything been pretty easy except for Lightning's Eidolon fight, went 1/5 on that, lol. I'm on chapter 8 now.

Chapter 9 boss has been the hardest so far. But it was still pretty easy overall. I hear lots of people struggling with it but I went 1/1 on it. Apparently it uses Doom if you take longer than 20 minutes to kill it, which could probably get you if you use a crappy set up. Took me 9:27 with maybe one of the best offensively stacked setups at this point.

Yep Ch 9 end boss is pretty hard, and after that the game gets a lot more challenging in general I thought.

I'm on Ch5 and Odin's been the only tough fight so far. And even that I went 1/2 on, I would have gone 1/1 but I didn't have the right set-up the first time (no RAV RAV paradigm).

I love how you can retry battles though. I don't even feel pressured to save unless I'm going to quit for the night, because it doesn't matter if I get my ass handed to me. And you can charge right into boss battles without worrying about having the right setup, which is nice because sometimes it's hard to tell one's coming. I've intentionally let myself die more than once because I had the wrong paradigms or I screwed up and wanted to get five stars.

You can pause it and press Retry if you just want to quit a fight. Faster than letting yourself die!
