I did that for Odin fight, lol. I'm pretty sure everyone already know this, but you can skip the summon animation with the Back button.

That chapter 9 boss keeps kicking my ass, the closest I got him was maybe 5 hits away from death before Doom killed me... I was so pissed I just turned it off for the night. I'll go at him again tonight for sure, and hope I don't get doomed...

Why was everyone whining about Odin? I got raped twice in a row but it was easy after that.

He wasn't that hard, it was just the timer for me, I ran out a few times.

I just go straight up raped the first time because I went in Com/Syn and forgot to switch hope to medic second time hope kept getting hit up in the air so he couldn't cure. Third time Com/Syn switched to Rav/Syn for Comboness and raep.

Nothing been hard so far, just got to chapter 10. 1/1 on Bart, and I used a Medic pretty much fulltime, not sure how people can time out.

You can pause it and press Retry if you just want to quit a fight. Faster than letting yourself die!

And yeah, Odin wasn't too hard. I'd say he's the first fight that ramps up the difficulty level at all though, and most people aren't gonna be prepared for that. The way he came out swinging caught me off guard, especially after Shiva would heal you if you got low on health. I thought all the summon battles would be like that, ha. Guess not.

Once I figured out that I needed to spam spells to charge his bar I restarted and it was all good, just needed to switch to MED MED once in a while when things got hairy and buff with Protect.

I'm stuck on Brynhildr, what i'm currently doing is starting rav rav and hitting him till i need to switch to med, then switching back... it's taking way too long and I was wondering if there was a simpler way. Thanks

I spent the start just buffing myself with everything, the buffing itself raises the bar, and just from eyeballing it got easier the more shit you have on you. Used COM/RAV normally afterwards, and just kept the chain.

I don't think I'll ever use Hope. That, and Alexander looks pretty homo.

Honestly, most of the "bosses" through into C.11 where I am now havent been too difficult.

Odin took me three attempts until I figured out his Gestalt bar goes up the more you heal. lol

The "Boss" fights have been pretty easy overall.

Barth took me about 10.5 minutes with my group. Cid took me a little time, but really had zero issues with him. Even Bahamut was a joke. The only fight that took me a bit was Alexander, being forced into a group change and not given the Paradigms I was used to using for that fight took me a few attempts. Plus Alex can 2 shot Hope if he so decides.

So far the Cieth Stone missions have been fairly easy fights. Its the "normal" monsters that I have a tendency to get owned by. The damn red "flans" that are immune to melee are fairly easy when they come single, but when there are 2 of them and 3-4 others... oh my god. Or the random flan + summoning bird ghostthings. Don't even get me started about Behemoth Kings ... I can win, but its all RNG. If they dont just a randomly decide to one shot me.

I got kind of used to the Light/Fang/Hope setup that we were forced on me and I have stuck with it. Fang is a beast and its nice to have a Syn/Sab/Med setup. I swap in Vanille for randomness, but right now I just can't get rid of Fang to make it worth wild to swap Van in full time.

I haven't ever had to use Medic fulltime. I hot swap between paradigms a LOT. Plus Fang with Ruinga is just hilariously fun.

If you read Libra, it says that it likes it when you buff yourself. So had Sazh drop some buffs, then swap back to RAV/RAV and heal when necessary.

Was it just me, or was this shit the worst chapter ever? The Palamecia can suck it, endless halls of mobs that take forever to kill. The end was funky, though.

Chapter 9 was great, didn't have any troubles with any of the enemies on it and the boss was fucking epic.

Those two dog looking guys that do the launch move in chapter 6 or7 was pretty fun, Im in chapter 8 now, loving the game.

How does Hope know about Vanille and Fang's village? Seems like thats info, being from Cocoon and all, that he shouldnt have access too.

This is made even more perplexing by the fact Fang was so surprised Vanille even thought of going there, and suddenly Hope knows what theyre talking about?

I used syn + medic at the start to buff myself up without taking too much damage to get Haste up. After that I switched to rav + rav to get chain bonus up, and rav + medic if I take damage. I think this is the easiest way, as chain bonus is the easiest way to get the gauge up on him.
