Also I am currently farming the Insentive chips and getting who knows how much CP. What is the best Gil/EXP ratio item in the stores? I been buying these Turbojet for 840 each when I have about 30k to burn.

When you start the circle of life missions he exhales and covers your screen in a fog. I'm guessing once you do all the missions you get to fight him. For people who don't know the circle of life missions are in Grand Pulse after you do a few marks it starts to light up and its a bunch of Cie or whatever their called in a big circle.

Does increasing Vanille's magic increase the strength of her Saboteur skills? I have that +magic item on her now, and have noticed Saboteur turns mobs into wet noodles. I was just curious if I should be giving the +magic item to someone else, like Hope. Who I never use as a Synergist, mostly just a Ravager.


Also, this game is really easy. I don't think I've had a battle that wasn't 5 stars so far. I'm hoping it becomes more intricate as I go (chpt 5).

Preemtive striking is the best thing ever. Even a fat mob like a behemoth dies before it gets to act if you have Launch. I don't think the game is that easy, at Ch.6 and up, you'll begin to run into mobs you might want to avoid entirely because they take like 2+ minutes to kill and like to deprotect > one-shot characters. Especially dangerous since you only have 2 characters. The game itself warns you of the creatures and suggests it's too much to take on and tells you to avoid them.

Saboteur is the best for hard-to-stagger enemies as it lowers their chain resistance. big-time but it's a complete waste of time on normal monsters.

Was it normal that Hope got one-shot by a Feral Behemoth probably 5-6 times in a row from full HP? I think his CP was capped too. I hate hope.

So much Hope hate, and here I am refusing to have a party setup without him.

I actually like Hope now, lol. I wish I could use him in my party, but Sazh's is stealing that spot till Hope gets Haste.

Vibrant Ooze and Super Conductor always.

36 vibrant ooze to get x3 then however many, up to 99, superconductors. Super Conductors are like a .7619 exp/gil ratio, while all the other items available are lower. The next best option is Complete Conductor, at .6713 exp/gil ratio. However, vibrant oozes are so cheap I think it's more optimal to just use Super Conductors all the time and perhaps only use Complete if you need a few more exp and 99 super conductors isn't going to hit * but complete conductors would, very situational.

TLDR; just buy super conductors and vibrant oozes.

Also, just for reference the Turbojet is a .4036 exp/gil ratio, you're almost losing half the effective value of that gil by not buying super conductors ;p I asked this question awhile back and nobody answered really, so hopefully this helps you because it's exactly what I wanted to know when I was buying upgrade items for the first time.

So I've done all the missions up to 12 and have gotten 5 stars on all of them, but a lot of the prizes still seem to suck lol, so I was wondering if the good stuff is random or that's just how it is?

Prizes have nothing to do with how many stars you get. The prize is set for each mission (and for repeat missions you get something else that's also set).

So I'm just at the point when i can unlock every role on everyone. are people unlovking roles or are they focusing in mastering the ones they have opened already. do you get enough CP to Max all 3 roles and still open a new one slowly?

You get massive bonuses on stage 8 of the crystarium. It jumps up to stuff like Strength+20 and HP+100 or more everywhere, so it's very much worth focusing on each characters main jobs at first. I personally got Cure for Sazh so I could keep using Lightning, Fang and him without having to drop Lightning from COM or RAV to heal up. But as soon as I got Cure I went back to buffing his three default jobs.

New roles take A LOT of CP to upgrade, and the stats bonuses on them are low, so you probably might want to wait till later on and just focus on old roles.

I'm on the palamecia right now.. and before I continue on I want to make sure I have a decent set up for upcoming fights/boss.

Right now I have x2 STR * Rings and Gladius * on Lightning.

I have one of Hopes highest magic boomerang * and x2 MAG * rings on him

For Fang I have her original weapon * but confused on what to do for rings, give her STR * or give her some HP *?

I have her a STR/HP to balance out a bit. I find her HP is still a bit on low side even with HP boosts I do have.

Sazh's underwhelming stats doesn't make me wanna use him at all after I get Haste with Hope/Vanille.

Yep thats what happened to me. Swore by Sazh when I first got to Pulse, but by chap 12 he gets outclassed huge. Just doesnt scale nearly as well as Hope or Vanille, especially Hope. I'd say Snow is a bit stronger Sen, but Fangs Sab role is fantastic. Lightning can be stupid powerful as a Com or Rav depending how you progress/gear her.

Around when is Sazh outclassed? Haste is the only reason i use him, i cant seem to find it on Vanille's/Hope's synergist Crystarium, unless its really high ranked.
