I've been job searching the whole time I've been doing this. From video editing to pharmacy to retail to the fucking census to writing in an application at every starbucks and mcdonalds I otherwise loiter at to offering to help some friend of my mom's with his shoveling business because he assured me he could use the help (4 snowstorms and not a ring). Not a single place has called me back and to be perfectly honest, I'm more than a little angry and feel pretty worthless over it. I'm starting to think I have a record and don't know it. In fact, I think the inability to sit in my bed and just sleep the day away has made me more proactive in the job search than I would have been otherwise.
I'm not about to go into this huge tirade about how finding a job is hard because despite my efforts, I can probably be trying that much harder. I should try hitting up temp agencies tomorrow, idk.
Also, it's partially a matter of not wanting to be a burden to the people who already have helped (when my laptop and phone both broke and I was at tsu's for a couple weeks, I got really paranoid and sheepish by the end of it. It really fucks me up to ask for help, I'm not nearly the same person) and partially because I can't be sure when things will turn around. I already owe various friends and acquaintances amounts that I do my best to pay back (and some I very well just don't have the ability to as of now, a feeling that honestly makes me feel like the shittiest of human beings), I really don't want to make it worse with uncertainty. I'd rather be able to talk to people comfortably than always having this feeling in the back of my head that they think I only talk to them because I need something, even if they assure me they don't.
Like I said in another topic, I've been trying to get my bag to do laundry for the last 2 weeks because 1 inconsiderate acquaintance conveniently "forgets" to call me when he's home so I can come pick it up and I went as far as to not knock his door this past sunday because I saw he had a girl over and didn't want to be an inconvenience. I even bought 2 new outfits since along with the 2 extra I carried around then just so I can change and that I wouldnt feel silly washing only 3 sets of clothes when I did laundry on the clothes I did have. It's not a rut because I suppose I could swallow my--well pride isn't the word, but despite knowing I can and actually being capable of it, i'd rather be out here than bother someone that much. It's not that big a deal, so I'm a little tired, I usually fall asleep randomly during the day even when I got a full night's sleep so it's no different.
No, I don't get how I can say all of that and then ask someone to house me for a video game tournament. Probably because I know I'd be out in 2 days tops.
And that's about the most serious a post you're going to get from me in this place, ugh.
You sound like you have a lot of pride and respect. I can dig that. I'm just personally pains me to know someone needs help, and not do anything about it. Perceiving people pissing opportunities or help away also rubs me wrong.
I usually hide it well.
I'm serious all the time man. It's why I don't fit in.
also by I'm, I mean IT
If I had a business, Id try and find a way to hire ya.
Of course, that's the trick, having a business. Got plenty of ideas, but the cost of entry is nuts. Dealing with patents and legal ass covering alone is likely more than the capital I have.
If I were a billionaire I would have my assistants say encouraging and uplifting things to you on BG
i would do nothing

There's some guy here who is arguing with the air in front of him and making wild jack blackesque movements during said argument. I think he's winning.
Or I can only imagine he's winning as the air has yet to slap him back.
Nvm I guess the air brought up a good point, he just spiked his drink (like "spiking the ball") in righteous fury and stormed off, but he'll be back seeing as he left his jacket and the shirt he just whipped around his head after the drink tantrum.
where do you shower
Gym I'm still signed up for.
I have a bag with 2 sticks of deodorant, 2 bottles of body wash, body spray, cologne, tooth paste and 4 tooth brushes THAT i CARRY AT ALL TIMES.
