How to drink Absinthe?

Go return it, if its from a North American shelf because it ain't the real thing. If you really must drink it find a slotted spoon. Put some sugar on the spoon, heat the spoon and let the syrup drip into the glass of absinthe & ice. Consume and get drunk and wonder why u spent $100 on a bottle.

If you're lucky to get a bottle from the eastern Europe, well then that's a different story. Chasing the Fairies is fun. Lol.

Traditionally, absinthe is prepared by placing a sugar cube on top of a specially designed slotted spoon and then placing the spoon on the glass which has been filled with a shot of absinthe. Ice-cold water is then poured or dripped over the sugar cube so that the water is slowly and evenly displaced into the absinthe, typically 1 part absinthe and 3 to 5 parts water.

It changes from clear to opaque, which is funky :D

The only thing absinthe did for me was make me play (sing!) guitar hero. I would never, ever do that.

It's imported from France, and says it contains wormwood. The bottle says genuine absinthe. I wish it was returnable but oh well, I picked it up just because I happened to be in the party store anyways. After reading reviews of it online, it doesn't seem to be all that great quality. Shrooms in Mi are hard to come by, I looked to grow them myself but I can't afford to keep my closet that damn hot.

Oh well, it's 138proof and I haven't been drinking much, so it should get me drunk regardless.

Items needed:
1x Glass
1x Shot glass
Straw
Absinthe
Fire

1. Fill the shot glass with Absinthe and put on the side.
2. Pour a little bit of Absinthe in the glass and move it around the edges.
3. Use a match or torch to light the Absinthe in the glass on fire. Move the flame around to burn all the sides then quickly put the glass face down on the table.
4. Take your straw and lift glass just enough to slide the straw in.
5. Inhale the fumes.
6. Take the shot on the side.

My friend bought a bottle to try (forget which kind but the bottle was black and green I think?). It was legal so I'm pretty sure there wasn't much thujone. Prepared it how it was supposed to be prepared. It tasted like shit and we didn't hallucinate. Pretty underwhelming.

Well it wasn't what I expected. I have had it before imported illegally from some other country. Oh well, only 11.65$ wasted. Still at 138% proof, it's damn strong even though I could have gotten a half gallon of 5 O'clock for the same price.

Even "legit" absinthe with a ton of thujone isn't going to make you trip balls. It's just really expensive, really bad tasting alcohol. You'd get stronger effects from popping a bunch of benadryl.

I really just want shrooms now, this was extremely disappointing. Next time I do shrooms though, not going out to denny's with a bunch of people that aren't tripping, and think it's funny to tell every you're on shrooms. As if the normal paranoia isn't enough.

I had some a few years back from the Czech republic and it was weird. We drank it straight from the bottle. It tasted like very strong mouthwash to me, and I didn't enjoy it - didn't hallucinate or feel funny at all besides that "you just did a double shot" buzz. My friend was convinced if he drank more of it he would start seeing stuff so he did about 7 double shots worth in less than 5 minutes and puked 10 minutes later. He didn't see shit, and said he just felt drunk more than anything else.
