I have my ways.
Probably just taking a crew van.

is the jigglypuff guy from mtv going to be there?
Honestly. Now that MLG is involved it'll be interesting to see who shows up that otherwise may not have. It'll also be interesting who brings out the meta knights.
'eeeeeeeeeey bring em out bring em out.
will you bring out the meta knights?
My meta knight is terrible, i'll probably end up playing snake for a few otherwise lame fights. I need a doubles partner, kashi don't wanna go.
Is Brawl still worth playing?

Top 16 get a 200 dollar stipend for travel with covered accomodations at the event and also avoid the amateur bracket qualifier. If I actually bothered to practice and use the knowledge I have about the game together with actually getting my timing down I can probably do top 16 by my third event before nationals start.
Even being only sort of good is still far better monetarily than being the very best was before this started. MLG changes the game entirely.
Also tell pat that I will hit him if after all this time complaining that MLG didnt pick up a game he's good at. He sits there focusing on SF4, a game whose competitive environment is deeply rooted right now with close to as many people playing as brawl instead of tekken 6, a game whose competitive environment is still in its formative stages and a game he's ALREADY very well practiced and very good at. I will hit him.
I know a guy from my high school who does MLG for a living, but he competes in FPSs (I think Gears 2, Halo 3, & MW2 are his games). Plus he buys/sells Magic cards at a profit.
When I say "know" I mean that I have him on my facebook and he posts status updates when he wins money, which is usually every tournament he goes to and is usually upwards of $5k for his team each time.
Yeah, and this doesn't even cover the money going out in doubles.
Yeah but you're going to be on a bus with Teaneck Fencing for 18 hours.
Jacob isnt in the crew. He just grew up across the yard from pierce so he just shows up a lot. Van's gonna be BSC, Rookie, RJ, Pierce, ADHD, Myself and it depends on if Bleachigo or umbra come since I've not asked either. Munk goes to school in FL so he's already there.
On another note, if this girl in the glasses looks at me again I will smile, fuck this.
Oh lord.
smile :D
Luckily she left before we traded looks again so that was a bullet dodged. What part are you oh lording ryu?
I want to plae gaem but I have no idea how this MLG nonsense works.
I would make an attempt to play if I could tolerate the community at all.
Okay you go to the first event. If you place top 16 you're covered for the next events (which is free money for you because the next event is in columbus so that 200 bucks for travel would just go straight into your pocket). You can play online qualifiers for better seeding in the amateur bracket for columbus too if you dont place in orlando or just don't go. Each event is a circuit that gives you points based on placement for the final event where the top 32 or so in points will face off for the grand prize of 12k+, each smaller event will pay out at least 1k to high places (3rd or better) though.
Anyone who qualifies as pro for any event stays pro for the whole season as long as they keep showing.
