Dunno if this was brought up or if it's even in the right section, but whatever. I did some looking online and found that a lot of people actually had this problem (some of whom claim they've never used a SE service/product).
Recently I've been noticing some charges from SE that show up on my bank account as CHECK CARD[bunch of numbers]SQUAREENIX[more numbers]. The amounts show up at the beginning of the month as $31.90, $15.95, and $40.95 for January, February and March of 2010. Now, I can see how the first two charges could be POSSIBLE in terms of POL subscriptions, but the $40.95 charge, if I'm not mistaken, is only possible if you have one account ($12.95) and 28 mules on that same account ($1.00 each). Regardless, I cancelled all of my content IDs in April of 2009, and the charges for the subscriptions I actually used were all $13.95 and listed as SQUARE ENIX/PLAY ONLINE. I'm positive I deactivated all my content IDs and uninstalled POL viewer, and I've never used this card to pay for anyone else's subscription.
Needless to say I was lazy and waited til near the end of the 60-day time period to notify my bank of the fraudulent charges since the money wasn't THAT big of a deal to me and I could wait. They filed the claim and credited my account.
Anyone else have this problem before? I suppose it's worth it for people to double check their transaction history to make sure it hasn't happened to them.
