    weird, I was choosing between these very 2 languages in 1st year, I took German and I don't regret it

    the idea of learning a whole new language is challenging enough without having to learn Kanji on top of a new grammar and possible male/female inflections etc


    however Japanese is a great language and I love when I notice that I've been looking less and less at the subtitles in anime

    Rammstein is still good. Who the hell knows what theyre saying, or why theyre so fucked up, but the beat is good.

    Ivve, partially true, theyre wierd as hell, make lots of odd videos, and tend to get in lots of trouble for their live concerts for nudity, odd stuff, violence, etc.

    and ya, Rammstein concerts are messed up, he's often covered in silver body paint or lit on fire (the way stuntmen do)

    also:

    Rammstein takes their name indirectly from the German town of Ramstein-Miesenbach, the site of the flight show disaster on 28 August 1988. The band's signature song, "Rammstein", is a commemoration of the disaster. In a short period before the band became well known, they performed using the name "Rammstein-Flugschau" (literally meaning "Rammstein-Airshow").
    basically the town is famous due to a disaster/tragedy, for Canadians it might be like calling a band Walkerton, for americans it might be like calling it Virigina Tech
