You should all be ashamed of yourselves for ruining a perfectly good joke thread on trolling.

We tried to get back to the joking. Colenzo was doing good for a couple pages but people insisted on being retards about biology again and it fell back into the same stupid discussion.

Some people just love talking about the mammary glands of 3 year olds.

    It couldn't be helped.

Whatever Archi. This whole thing boils down to semantics.

Oh and opinion. And also people mixing up scientific terms with non scientific meanings of the same word.

Hey, wow, I love the semantics game! I usually lose because I don't make a total fucking idiot out of myself every time.

Hide behind your weak arguments with sarcasm: check.
Divert the point using fallible logic: check.
Be an overall dickhead in most topics involving logical discussion: check.
Come up with some stupid non-sensical argument to carry topic: fail.

Well, according to my classification system, you certainly qualify as a douchebag but you fall quite short of Leif-level retardation.

Try pulling a fucking 5 month old fetus out of a mother and see how far it gets even with non-medical human care.

You know what I fucking meant.

Maybe all our problems would go away if we all just decided to refer to a single cell as a human cell, an adult as a human adult, and a fetus as a human fetus. Human embryo, human infant, etc, etc.

The term human by itself evokes images of a fully grown multicellular human, so it is odd to call a blastocyst a human even though it is genetically of the human family. What's at issue here is the value ascribed to the term human. A moral value if you will. No doubt related to the term humanity, inhumane, etc. Being referred to as a human may also abscribe a certain degree of personhood, which for someone who is pro abortion and values a fetus quite little, would be a conflict of interest.

This is a great idea. However I don't really think it will work because some people think that what a cell will eventually become changes what it currently is.

When I see a flower on a tree that has been fertilized with pollen I don't start calling it a fruit. It isn't a fruit until the fruit starts actually forming.

Can we call it a fertilized human egg?

    Sure.

I think ethically (warning: opinion) that at that point Human life has not started it is no different from any other cell in your body in its current state and doesn't have any more rights than any other cell in your body. I think it has the Potential to become a human life but it is not yet.

I believe that when it comes to ethics and abortions and miscarriages (which is what this thread was originally about right? I forgot already) a fetus begins having the rights of a human person (or whatever term you want to use here) when it gains consciousness, when there is enough nervous tissue that it is self aware.

I don't know exactly when that happens but if we could determine when it does that is when it stops being a clump of human cells and becomes an actual human.

Again that is my personal stance and opinion. It also has no bearing or connection to any scientific argument made earlier in this thread about development vs. growth.

Well even if you believe the majority of your posts in this thread the last one I quoted was such a giant leap from what Kuro was talking about and it had no real relevance to anything we have been talking about, that is what reminded me of Leif like posting style.

I like the idea of "non-human medical care" - I for one welcome our new robot doctor overlords.

My oldest sister was born 12 weeks early.

    In 1978.

I'll let you figure it out from there.

    12 weeks = 2.5-3 months premature.

I don't know about your math, but 6 or 7 appear to be greater than 5.

Also, in this topic, medical care didn't exist before 1990lol.

Your dumbfuckery is showing, Plow. Good on your sister though, non-sarcastically it's great to see she made it. On the other hand, it's also good to know she represents 100% of the population.
