HP healed by Pet and HP healed by me are one category are two?
For instance, my puppet curing me or a party member vs me curing someone. Different caps or same category?

I was wondering what is better for rdm nuking, Goli feet with INT4 macc2 or AF2 boots with mab4 assuming 8/8 ele merits?
Even with full elemental merits there isn't going to be a single piece that's better all the time. From accuracy to potency: Nashira > Goliard > Yigit > AF2. The reason Yigit is in there is because I use it and I like its middle-of-the-road stats. You should probably try to get a feel for your resist rate before making switches.
Boredom leads to stupid questions:
Drg 5hit: plausible? Gae Bolg + Rose Strap + Aurum Curiass + Rajas Ring + /Sam + Carbonara.
Would lose 2% DA (Strap) DMG+2 Dex+2 (Lance) and 15-20ish Att (food, if something cheap like yellow curry). Would increase delay by 51 in exchange for a true 5hit.
I wonder if it would be worth anything. Obviously couldn't use it on birds unless you want to spam carbonara, nor on anything you'd need pizza, but for the rest of the things out there: does the increase WS frequency out-do the lower damage+stats/higher delay?
This question is merely for curiosity, I'll likely never get either, and as such I haven't really read up on too many things about Relic and/or Mythic Weapons. Aside from the casual reading, at least.
Which would be a better relic for a RDM; Excalibur or Mandau?
Also, let's assume someone had the money for both, would there EVER be a reason to Dual Wield them together? I keep thinking offhanding a Joyeuse or Justice Sword (with stones) would be better, regardless of which you're main-handing.
Mercy stroke sucks without sneak or trick attack on ws.
It depends what you're using them for, which is really a big unknown when you're asking for RDM.
If you're going to be meleeing anything from JoL to VT mobs on your RDM/NIN, then Excalibur will be the better option and Joyeuse/Justice will be the best offhand. If you're going to be meleeing EM monsters, maybe Mandau/Justice would be best.
THF does very well with Mandau because it gives a one-hit WS that's heavily STR modified with a huge fTP, which lets them focus less on Acc and more on Atk/STR/(AGI or DEX) when they stack it with SA or TA. RDM obviously doesn't have SA or TA, and they also don't have access to Heca gear. I'm unsure if Mercy Stroke would even be a great improvement over Evisceration for RDM.
Excalibur does damage proportional to HP some of the time. HP isn't bad on RDM but it also isn't their strong suit like it is for, say, Paladin. When you choose to go Excalibur/Anything you reduce the number of 1/4 HP procs, which may or may not decrease your overall damage. Excalibur/Justice and spamming Death Blossom would probably be best on some things, while Excalibur alone would be best on stuff like JoL.
Basically, neither relic is really optimal for RDM, and Murgeis is pretty much a joke iirc. If you get either of them you'll be a much better DD RDM, but you'll still be fail compared to a Mandau THF or Excalibur Paladin. SE fails at making mage relics, go figure.
excal/sentinel shield
final destination
If neither is optimal, what are the best weapons for RDM? Melee of course, and not on things like JoL.
Those are the best weapons for RDM.
They just aren't good enough to make your RDM into a DD that would outparse a real DD job geared and meritted with a moderate level of dedication. Excalibur or Mandau is your choice. Mandau will let you do better damage on EM monsters probably, but Excalibur will pull into the lead on higher stuff.
You should probably hold off buying a relic until after we see how the 75->80 cap increase works. If we keep getting skills at our former rates, by 99 the skill gap between B and A weapons will increase to the point where you might have quite a bit of trouble hitting level 99 mobs sans Sushi. If that is the case, Excalibur would be the better option because your Attack is going to suck on even EM monsters.
Thanks for the info, though it was just curiosity. I don't intend to try and make RDM into DD capable of competing with actual DD's. I'm aware it's pretty much a lost cause.
Besides, if I had the gil to get a Relic, I can think of many many other things it would be better to spend that gil on.
Not sure if this is the place to ask, but the download link to the autoexec plugin on widower site seems to be broken. Anyone have it or can host it?
Thanks.
Heya all!
I've been trying to pop Ix'DRG (bard cape one) for days with no luck whatsoever. (Solo BLM or duo with blm + rdm, we clear out all the rooms).
Is there a trick to it's spawn behaviour that I am not aware of or anything like a 'true PH' for it (e.g like with LL/ stray mary etc)?
Thanks in advance ^^
I've been very lucky with both him and Ix'Drk lately, but I'm afraid it's just luck. It could be just that I'm one of the few people trying to pop those NMs on Garuda right now and there's some time component to their spawn system.
I kill South East, North West, South West, North East, repeat. Much of the time I have a duo partner, but sometimes I'm solo. I killed him solo while drinking/watching a movie on BLM in <30 minutes earlier this week. Modified my strategy a little from previous attempts. It was more dangerous, but paid off.
If you really want him to pop, plan to do something with your significant other like watch a movie.
NMs are like women; they like you more if they don't know that you actually care about them.
Wasn't in confirmed that stun cannot resist unless the mob has natural stun resistance or it is earth day/weather? Just had an Aura statue resist stun on ice day so I'm curious if that theory was debunked or Aura statues have some low stun resistance.
