Also I am thinking shark necklace might have a use if you are in a mage party to lessen the macro intensity to keep you in effect.
COR can't wear Shark Necklace. As for your other question... spam spells!

You could potentially try this. Not sure if it works anymore.

Call up customer service. They'll ask you a few questions to verify yourself.
    Took me about 15 minutes.

All right, so yesterday my group for salvage finally got back to doing salvage and we did ZR, and lately I've been coming as thf. Anyway, we get to the fifth floor with the frog and usually the thf just goes into the room with the gears and aggros all the gears and just dies a little bit far from the us and then gets a raise. My question is, I've heard you can aggro the entire gear room and lose hate from them. Bypassing the entire part where you die and such. So, I was wondering how you're suppose to do this?

Also, in SSR the one with the turtle part. Usually I end up with a fanatics and hermes, but the last SSR there wasn't any fanatics, and well it didn't give me enough time to survive and get in a good spot to die. I was wondering how I'm suppose to stay alive long enough for my team mates to grab the ramparts and take ramparts to the start without a fanatics?

I found this video a while ago while looking for the same info:

Seems like there's plenty of time if you wait to use PD until necessary.

Most pulls that "require a sac" in salvage really don't, this obviously being no exception. What I usually do is circle through the room, fleeing a bit into it, run back around to the entrance room (after you leave the room with gears, ensure you're always 10+ ' from them), then head to one of the sides around the middle, once they head in that direction, head to the back middle, then the other side middle. They should all have deaggro'd by now. Some might be blocking the door, but you have the short time period where they won't aggro to run back past them safely.

Almost the same thing here: run in through the room on one end, pop flee, circle around to the other, wait for things to sort of gather, and then circle around the edge of the room, making sure nothing diagonally paths to you and gets back in tracking range. This entire floor can be done without any deaths or log outs.

Thanks a lot Amok and Cairthenn your post really helped me. In fact, tonight I did ZR again tonight, and the advice worked like a charm.

But I do have one more question, for SSR turtle can the chariot also deaggro, because sometimes we don't have enough time to go and kill the boss.

Yes, the chariot will deaggro as well (this applys to any chariot in Salvage by the way, including the bosses).

As a side note, that room is - at least, to me - one of the most difficult rooms to deaggro in Salvage.

It's also a very bad idea to have huge spellcast files, as spellcast is very slow.

On a single job it's fine, but if you start adding in multiple rules and conditions, the parse delay on every action is going to get very long.

I'm curious about something. I recently returned after a year or so of on and off play, caused by my excessive time raiding on WoW. It got boring, so I came back home.

That said, I was poking through the rewards for ASA, and noticed its a) legs, and b) can be augmented with haste.

Now, I'm in a bit of a weird situation. I have 2 jobs that I play a lot. Either Samurai (which I love and play as much as I can) or Ninja (which I play often solely because I spend a pretty decent amount of time solo). I also have Monk 75. This does have one problem when it comes to choosing a reward from the end. Yes, I know this is going to be sad, but a dedication issue is (or was, I suppose) in play, and I still haven't really managed to nail down Haidate or Usu pants for haste. On Ninja, I have AF2 pants, but on SAM I pretty much end up fulltiming Shura. My question is simple: which job, given my uses for them, is going to benefit more from the final reward? I ask only because this is my quickest route to getting some haste pants while I get unlazy and start working on something a little more real. Also, given that circumstance, depending on the job, which would be the better bet as a second augment on those pants.

Go ahead and beat up on me now

Do MNK, it's a more useful job and they can be used on NIN as well if you do that route.

    (get byakko's)

It would probably an equal or lesser amount of time to farm Byakko pops and get a few friends to kill him for you than to finish ASA.

I remember a while ago someone had figured a way to get those POL E-mail's to stop blinking, even if you didn't remember your POL mail password, am I crazy and imagining this, or is there a way?

    Newb to spellcast here.

Can't seem to make my melee set on WHM stay after mob dies. Seems it would be better to just make a separate group for it, but I don't know how to even switch groups >_>

    Suggestions? etc.

Nevermind, is simpler than I am making it out to be.

    what the fuck

~60 drains would need to average over 300 to actually kill it.. realistically, you'd want 4 rdm/sch

and if you have 5 rdm, you could just bring 3 of them /nin and trio it anyway.. shit's retarded

So, what's the strat with 3 rdm/nin's? Just spread out and bounce hate while dot'ing it to death?

how good do the rdm/nin's need to be? How likely are you to wipe in this setup?

need a basic pdt set(earth staff, jelly ring, cheviot cape), a refresh body(vermy will work fine) and some concept of how to play rdm

really not very likely to wipe, if one RDM dies 2 can still hold it for ages, i'd wager it's duoable tbh
