Stop being an idiot. Try subbing a 37 BST and go charm a spider in Boyahda Tree. Let me know when you die.
Ask a friend (if you haven't scared them away with your idiocy yet) with 75 BST to sub it and go try the same thing.
No point in testing something that is common knowledge.
Can you prove that Nidhogg and King Behemoth can only pop 72+ hours after last death? I've never seen any evidence of this. Maybe you should run a test, go sit in Dragon's Aery for 300 days and track if Nidhogg ever pops ~72 hours after last death. Or consider taking what we tell you as fact when it is something so commonly known.
lmao. I guess some things don't change Zhi. You are still the same arrogant douche. It's too bad you work at a fucking Radio Shack in real life or maybe we could be friends.
Anyways, a friend and I did a small sample test. His Beastmaster is level 37, mine is 75. The following was our success rate with no Charm ACC/CHR Gear. The test was conducted on Decent Challenge Pugils in Cape Terrigan. Day of the Weak was Wind.
His(DRK/BST): 78/100
Mine(DRK/BST): 67/100
Now, if you have something to reinforce your statement please provide.
I worked at Radio Shack from around June 08 - December 08, I left a week or two before Christmas. I work somewhere slightly more upscale now. I'm sure you've never worked at some place as low as Radio Shack while applying for something more suitable for a career move, have you? McDonald's has your name all over it, bud.
The only reasoning I can give you for that is a ninja update on /BST. It worked the last time I attempted, which was probably around 2006, lol. I imagine I would've heard about it before now if that is true, but hey, stranger things have happened.
Please pull out more real life insults, so I can negate them truth, for you.
Edit: Since you already did this test, why did you feel the need to ask the question? Or did you make up these numbers just now, feeling the need to win? Lulz. Now you've caught my attention. I'm going to test it when I get home. From work. Not at Radio Shack. <3
It's a good thing you posted such a huge sample, showed how you completely controlled all variables, and ran the relevant statistical tests to show that you beat the null hypothesis by a scientifically acceptable margin. It makes your rejection of the experience of everyone who's personally experienced it over several years of the game a lot less annoying.
Well no, assuming his results are real (and not just typed in as I'm now speculating they are) you definitely wouldn't see those kind of numbers. If they did not in fact change it, it would be drastically different. Even 100 is a large enough sample in this situation to show whether or not they really did.
Yes. But you must see that it's infuriating when somebody's asking for concrete proof of the established convention, and their own proof is anything other than concrete.
Hmm. On the one hand I'm suspicious of anything with a smallish sample, but on the other you're right about how drastic the difference is.Originally Posted by ZhiGaruda

Is Guage giving you the same result? It used to give drastically different results based on the main job lvl. My personal experience tends to agree with Zhi, I briefly did some low manning in la vaule with bst and /bst and the difference between my friend with 75 bst charming as whm/bst and myself as whm/bst was HUGE. Like, I generally had to charm an average of 4-5 times to get a charm in (37 bst at the time).
So I was just speaking with a 75 BST in my shell, about getting some testing going. He's doing Salvagex2 tonight so I can't do the testing but he raised a very good point to me.
He states, that it's not the actual charm LAND rate that is linear with the level of the BST, but how long it actually sticks.
Something like, a 75 BST should be able to hold:
TW: 30 min
EP: 20 min
DC: 10 min
EM: 3-5.25 min etc
And that someone DRK/75BST could do the very same, while a DRK/37BST should be able to LAND the charm, it will wear off very very quickly.
I'd like to get the testing done to make sure, just hard to do it without 75 BST myself :\
