edit: oh also, they gave me some free valve games, i guess the ones from the complete pack I didn't already own from the looks of it.

Valve are fucking geniuses when it comes to marketing. I bet they made a shit-ton off of potato sack sales too, and people got absolutely squat for it. The best part is as someone in the UK I could have gone out and bought a copy and played it 5 hours ago on my PS3, then just swapped over to the PC version when it actually unlocks since Valve never bother to do midnight releases.

Yes. PS3 version supports Steam. You link your PSN account to your Steam account and it gives you a PC copy that you can download and play with Steam. Saves also are cross-compatible (as is players in co-op supposedly) with Steam Cloud.
