Luke Plunkett, u mad bro?
Luke Plunkett, u mad bro?
Shit, this made my day.
Paying for fucking gestures. I bet Valve fanboys will actually defend it too. I'd like to say I've lost some respect for Valve, but how can I hate on them cashing in on whimsical retards? It's fucking genius.
lol@ the potatoes and selling emotes, marketing fucking gold.
Nothing has changed with Valve. They are angels brahhhhh.
GLaDOS is really pissed, wish I had more time to play![]()
Co-op was really fun, but it didn't have many incredibly hard levels.
Starting the single player in the morning, yay.
Had a lot of fun in co-op before my partner went to sleep, going to rock single player now.
Basically. I actually got DoD:Source and Condition Zero from it, as well as an extra HL2: EP1 somehow, but I had pretty much everything else, including a portal 2 preorder.
But it's not entirely true that buying potato sack was just for earlier portal 2. I mean, technically there were 13 games in the pack too. Some of them are shitty, but I'd say at the very least amnesia, defense grid, super meat boy, and maybe a couple of the puzzlers were all definite value added, which combined with the slightly early access and random free other valve games made it worth it for me.
Woulda been a lot nicer though to be someone with a fresh steam account that got potato sack and did this. They'd get the whole valve pack including Portal 2 (with slightly early access and some random rewards), as well as 13 decent indie games for $40.
Finished the single-player about an hour ago, seemed like it was about twice, maaaaybe three times as long as the first game. Very good game, enjoyed pretty much every minute of it.
Hoping to try out some coop tomorrow.
I just watched a stream of the entire thing too. Whole game is excellently crafted. Tempted to pick it up now to run through co-op but I'll probably just hold off on that or watch my friends playing it. Can't I say I agree with the cash shop shit, but damn they know how to make a good game.
They got a set of really good indie games on the cheap. I probably would have looked right past several of them but I enjoyed all of them except Cogs while playing through for the potatoes (and even Cogs I wouldn't have minded so much if it wasn't for needing so many stars to get to the potato levels).
Yes, that additional preload is what keeps people from playing the game before release. You got stuck because 65,000 other people were trying to do the same thing, tubes were stuck man.
Confirmed, though what Plunkett's initial mad fails to account for is that you're getting gift copies of anything you already owned (standard Steam MO). They're taking a while to show up on some accounts, because again, tubes.
MAAAAAAAAAAAAAD
Microtransactions will exist in every game ever from now on, it's just good money sense. That doesn't preclude these things from being available to you just via playtime though, plus there's content yet unreleased.
I'm downright furious.
Game sounds good, but 50 euros for 12h of gameplay? Meh, I'll just get it next xmas for 10 instead.
Don't watch if you haven't seen the ending.
Just got the game gifted to me by a friend.. so wee :3
